We are seeking a strategic and innovative leader to serve as Head of our Retirement and Workplace Business. This executive role will be responsible for establishing and refining our long-term strategy across current and prospective addressable markets, while ensuring strategic vision translates into actionable product development and execution. The ideal candidate will have deep financial services expertise, champion client satisfaction while identifying and capitalizing on new growth opportunities in the retirement space. Additionally, experience in digital transformation and innovation would be needed to enhance our offerings, reduce industry costs, and empower our clients' retirement business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and refine comprehensive long-term strategies for the retirement and workplace business
Identify and evaluate new addressable markets and expansion opportunities
Ensure strategic alignment between business objectives and product development initiatives
Build and maintain competitive positioning through market analysis and strategic planning
You also provide strong leadership to the organization, establishing near- and long-term goals and ensuring vital talent and resources are in place
Business Growth & Development
Drive revenue growth through identification and execution of new business opportunities
Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
Foster strategic partnerships and alliances to expand market reach
Oversee business development initiatives to capture market share
Go to market - Ensure a singular go to market message that will help grow sales, drive retention, broaden/deepen client relationships.
Product Strategy & Innovation
Lead product strategy development ensuring alignment with overall business objectives
Champion innovation initiatives with emphasis on digital transformation
Oversee the digitization of offerings to enhance value proposition and reduce operational costs
Drive product roadmap execution from conception through launch
Product - Build and enhance product across our trading, custody, and communications platform
Technology - Collaborate with Technology on client implementations, product improvements and sustainably executing on product roadmaps
Client Success & Satisfaction
Maintain relentless focus on client satisfaction and retention
Develop strategies to help clients grow their retirement businesses
Establish client feedback mechanisms to inform product and service improvements
Build strong relationships with key strategic accounts
Operational Excellence
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless strategy execution

Required Qualifications
Experience, Skills & Competencies
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
10+ years of related experience in the retirement or wealth industry. Having a business development, strategy, or product background is a plus.
Demonstrated track record either leading a similar-sized P&L or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated ability and experience leading transformation and managing through organizational change.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfort with communicating with, and advising senior management and external senior stakeholders including regulators, clients and C-Suite executives
Network of industry relationships is important, and engagement with regulators a plus
History of building and scaling business units with measurable revenue growth
Deep understanding of retirement plan administration, workplace benefits, and regulatory landscape
Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication
Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams
Experience with product development lifecycle and go-to-market strategies
The role also includes ensuring that we manage legal, regulatory, and compliance matters related to our Trust business.

* 5+ years in retail alternative investments, especially in fund administration, or transfer agency operations, or investor servicing.
* Proven experience in client relationship management with a deep understanding of alternative investment products and distribution channels.
* Experience with wirehouses, independent broker-dealers (IBDs), registered investment advisors (RIAs), and intermediary platforms (e.g., iCapital, CAIS).
* Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, SEC, FINRA, and state regulations specific to retail alternative investments.

What you'll get to do:
Reporting to the QA Director, the QA Lead Engineer will oversee QA testing within an agile project for one of Calastone's products or functional areas. They'll manage all QA activities, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders and highlighting risks or blockers.
The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Operations, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality applications supported by automated regression tests built in C# using a Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) approach.
As the QA Lead, the individual will plan and coordinate testing activities, delegate tasks, and mentor QA Engineers, ensuring industry-standard testing practices are applied. They will also contribute to the QA team's development by sharing knowledge, running learning sessions, and maintaining the QA knowledge base.
Success in this role requires a strong grasp of Calastone's technical and functional landscape and a deep understanding of automated testing strategies.

Pay Scale Information :

What you'll get to do:
Reporting to the QA Director, the QA Lead Engineer will oversee QA testing within an agile project for one of Calastone's products or functional areas. They'll manage all QA activities, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders and highlighting risks or blockers.
The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Product, Operations, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality applications supported by automated regression tests built in C# using a Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) approach.
As the QA Lead, the individual will plan and coordinate testing activities, delegate tasks, and mentor QA Engineers, ensuring industry-standard testing practices are applied. They will also contribute to the QA team's development by sharing knowledge, running learning sessions, and maintaining the QA knowledge base.
Success in this role requires a strong grasp of Calastone's technical and functional landscape and a deep understanding of automated testing strategies.
What you will get to do:
Oversee QA activities and serve as the primary QA contact for the assigned project.
Report to the QA Director and ensure the QA Strategy is consistently applied across all relevant projects.
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks built on .NET Core with C# and BDD.
Drive the integration of automated testing solutions into the engineering build pipeline (Continuous Integration) using GitHub Actions.
Facilitate integration testing between products, using stubs and drivers where appropriate.
Mentor, support, and coach QA Engineers and Senior QA Engineers in their professional growth.
Monitor and report on automated test coverage, ensuring visibility for key stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a Test Plan and Approach for the project, aligned with Calastone's QA Strategy.
Prepare QA release documentation in line with Calastone's QA standards.
Maintain clear, open, and transparent communication with stakeholders on QA progress, highlighting risks or potential impacts.
Conduct exploratory testing to support Calastone's agile delivery approach and align with QA best practices.
Build a strong understanding of Calastone's products and functionality.
Follow recognised best practices in test automation and quality assurance.
What you will bring:
Proven experience leading QA teams and managing people, including delivery of high-profile, time-sensitive projects.
Strong background in financial technology, with hands-on experience testing financial data, systems, and messaging formats (XML, JSON, FIX, SFTP, Swift).
Understanding of the European Mutual Funds and/or Exchange-Traded Funds (ETF) markets (advantageous).
Proficiency in object-oriented programming, ideally C# (preferred) or Java, and developing .NET-based automated testing frameworks using BDD tools such as SpecFlow or Reqnroll.
Expertise in automating REST API and UI testing with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright (preferred).
Experience testing event-driven services, including those using Azure Service Bus and Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
Skilled in configuring CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions workflows (YAML).
Strong understanding of QA automation methodologies, tools, and agile processes.
Knowledge of testing techniques such as equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis.
Experience with non-functional testing (performance, load, stress), ideally using NeoLoad.
Proficiency in writing SQL queries and analysing relational databases.
Familiarity with AI tools such as Copilot, LLMs, or MCPs to enhance test automation (advantageous).
Competent in Microsoft technologies including Visual Studio, Azure, Word, Excel, and Windows environments.
Clear, confident communicator able to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
ISTQB Software Testing certification (or equivalent).
