Not much.
A large presence of Broan old-timers in Hartford are there to pick up paychecks until retirement and really don't care about the company's long term outlook, balking at anything that means change for their day-to-day work, and undermining any efforts that could lead to meaningful progress. This behavior is enabled by a long-established pattern of rewarding mediocrity. Meanwhile, top leadership has no pulse for what is happening. There is a palpable connection gap between top executives and the rest of the company. It doesn't help that the vast majority of executives live far away from Hartford, deepening the 'us vs. them' mentality that is pervasive at company headquarters.
Pay is pretty good for this rural area, but that's what keeps so many of the Hartford old-timers there. Financially it's in their interest to stay at Broan. Because they don't want to change, the company is literally rotting from the inside out.
My pto days
Their hr and floor management were very deceptive and have way too much favoritism. They don’t give raises when deserved
Nothing
The pay at Broan was competitive. In all honesty, that's about the only plus of working there.
Disastrous leadership that cannot figure out how to guide, much less encourage, their employees. Every quarter they say one thing -- but live day-to-day by another credo. Then at the end of the quarter they wonder why they didn't accomplish what they said they'd do last quarter. It is a very stressful place to work. I would not recommend this job to anyone, unless you want to learn the ropes 'the hard way'.
Pay was decent. Literally, that's it.
Pay was decent
Management is a complete disaster. The company is poorly run, making it a very stressful place to work.
I honestly can’t think of any perks.
Management and coworkers are great to work with
No real negatives.
There's are some nice employee discounts and the staff events are fun
