Keith E. Smith is President, Chief Executive Officer, Director of Boyd Gaming Corporation. He has been President and a director of the Company since April 2005, and he has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2008. Keith Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Company from October 2001 through December 2007, and prior to being appointed President, Keith Smith had served as the Company’s Executive Vice President since May 1998. Keith Smith joined the Company in September 1990, serving in various controllership positions, the last of which was Senior Vice President and Controller. In 2005, Keith Smith was appointed to the Board of the Nevada Resort Association and served as Chairman from December 2008 until December 2012. Keith Smith has been a member of the board of directors of the American Gaming Association since January 2008, including serving as its Chairman in 2010 and 2011. From 2005 to January 2011, he served as Vice Chairman of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. In January 2012, Keith Smith was appointed by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco to serve as Chairman of the board of directors of its Los Angeles Branch, and he has served as a director on that board since January 2009.

Penn National Gaming

Jay Snowden joined Penn National Gaming in October 2011 as Senior Vice President-Regional Operations and was later promoted to Chief Operating Officer in January 2014. In March 2017, Mr. Snowden was named President and Chief Operating Officer, and led the Company’s successful margin improvement plan, as well as the integration of the acquisition of Pinnacle Entertainment, which nearly doubled the size of Penn National. In January 2020, Mr. Snowden assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. One of his first actions as CEO was to acquire a minority interest in Barstool Sports, a leading sports media and entertainment company, which is the centerpiece of his vision to evolve Penn National from a retail casino operator into a leading omnichannel provider of retail and interactive gaming, sports betting and entertainment. Despite the challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic in his first few months as CEO, which included the temporary closure of all of the company’s properties, Mr. Snowden successfully navigated Penn National through a series of mitigation efforts and capital raises to help secure the Company’s future. Prior to joining Penn National, Mr. Snowden was the Senior Vice President and General Manager of Caesars and Harrah’s in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and prior to that, held various leadership positions with Caesars in St. Louis, Missouri; San Diego, California; and Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Snowden holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
