Qualifications
New York State Special Education Certification requirement.
Masters Degree in Special Education or related field required.
Previous experience in leadership role preferred.
Minimum 3 years of successful teaching experience required.
Track record of accomplishment and achievement required.
Experience with and commitment to improving the quality of urban education, specifically for scholars who have been traditionally underserved required.
Note: This is a 10 month position with approximately 20% classroom time.

Responsibilities
Serves as the primary liaison between district, CSE, and school personnel for special education services provided by the school
Coordinates and oversees special education services and personnel to ensure students' needs are being met
Assumes some classroom teaching responsibilities
Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the education of students with special needs, including ADA, IDEA, and students' IEPs
Provides specialized instructional support and leadership in progress monitoring, student observations, and consultation with general education teachers.
Supports the development of students' IEPs and curriculum development
Demonstrates a relentless pursuit to promote excellence in student achievement and conduct
Maintains and exemplifies culture of high expectations and accountability for scholarly and professional conduct
Facilitates the development and administration of policies related to students with special needs

Position:
All Custodians are responsible for ensuring that a clean, safe, and healthy environment exists for scholars, employees, and visitors. The position will be based in the Bronx, NY and will entail cleaning the building facilities, maintenance, repair, storage, and operation needs.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning interior and exterior of building facilities.
Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces.
Sweeping and mopping floors and vacuuming carpets.
Washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks, and showers, and restocking disposables (e.g. soap)
Wiping mirrors and windows.
Maintaining outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawns, and cleaning entrances.
Utilizing insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests.
Performing maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)
Reporting major damages and overseeing repairs.
Securing facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows, and setting up alarms.
Undertaking occasional custodial and janitorial tasks such as (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a public school setting required.
Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances required.
Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components required.
Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices required.
Attention to detail and conscientiousness required.
Ability to lift 50lbs required.
Ability to speak English required.

Excellence Community Schools is seeking a creative, hard-working graphic designer who can design for both digital and print mediums. (S)he will be charged with execution of the digital and print marketing collateral aimed at advancing the charter school's mission, building community awareness, and enhancing the school's reputation.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Marketing & Communications, this role involves building out and managing the school's website as well as other promotional collateral to be used online and offline. A successful candidate will be proactive, come with a strong UX/UI background, and have an eye for design.
Key Responsibilities
Branding
Ensure a consistent brand identity, including tone, style, and imagery across all platforms
Develop high-quality content for various channels, including newsletters, social media, websites, and email campaigns
Design marketing materials, including banners, email templates, and digital ads as well as enhance brand consistency across digital touchpoints
Manage branded merchandise/goods distributed internally, as well as promotional items ordered as part of marketing campaigns
Design
Preparing digital and offline advertising assets, including design logos, icons, illustrations, postcards, flyers, posters, invitations, ads, brochures, banners, signage, diagrams and reports for print, websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms
Assisting in the development of annual reports, brochures, and other marketing collateral
Collaborate with staff for fair, conference, and other event needs
Creating templates that others can implement
Digital
Develop layouts, UI components, and interactive elements that align with brand guidelines.
Ensure designs translate effectively into functional UX web and app experiences.
Experience with SchoolMint, PowerSchool, SharePoint, or other school-related tools welcomed.

Stay updated on design trends, animation techniques, and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Must have extensive knowledge of graphic design, typography, color theory, digital printing process for offline use.
Must be expert in graphic design for social media and web, as well as an understanding of user interface and web technologies.
BFA in graphic design or related art/design degree with 3-5 years of full-time, professional graphic design work experience.
Eye for design, clean aesthetic for print and digital media
Strong understanding of user interface design principles, with proven track record of creative web site development in accordance with the design specifications, user interface style guides and established usability standards.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Audition, and After Effects), Microsoft Office Suite, and other skills and tools needed to achieve the job
Experience with motion graphics, animations, and video editing.
Ability to design for different social media formats and platforms.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript (preferred).
Superior, well-rounded graphic design ability and a creative print/web portfolio.

Job Overview
The School Operations Manager supports the Director of School Operations in ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the school. This role is hands-on and focuses on managing logistics, coordinating services, and supporting staff, students, and families. Responsibilities
School Operations & Logistics
* Oversee daily front office operations, including attendance, visitor management, and student records.
* Support scheduling, substitutes, and classroom coverage logistics.

Student & Family Support

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree required

Nominate scholars for academic enrichment, performing and visual arts, and competitive athletic programs.
Prepare scholars and families for open houses, visitation days, and registration for entrance exams.
Communicate closely and regularly with parents regarding the high school application process via phone, email, text, and in-person meetings.
Support with network High School Placement office hours for application support on occasional Saturdays or after school.
Process admissions documents and ensure timely submission of applications.
Support in the execution of High School Placement departmental summer programming.
Attend education fairs with scholars and families.
Provide support to the Director of High School Placement as needed.
Perform other associated duties and projects as assigned by the Director of High School Placement.
Working Conditions
This is a year-round position, requiring working during the summer, occasional evenings, and weekends to meet the needs of our scholars and their families.
Ability to travel within our network as needed for high school placement support and coverage.
This position will be based on-site at one of our middle schools and report to the Managing Director of High School Placement and the Principal.

Who We Need
Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Marketing & Communications, this role involves generating creative and effective content, maintaining the school's website, and generating promotional collateral to be used online and offline. A successful candidate will be proactive, come with a strong marketing background, and have an eye for design. Responsibilities
Content Creation
Document Excellence Community School's special events, school-based activities, and functions.
Convey the schools' overall story through scholar, teacher, parent, and other interviews.
Create high-level marketing collateral (i.e., e-blasts, one-pagers, brochures, newsletters, flyers, pitch books, presentations, and print publications) for various audiences.
Collect, compile, and manage the image library and other digital assets of Excellence Community School.
Branding & Design
Ensure a consistent brand identity, including tone, style, and imagery across all platforms
Develop high-quality content for various channels, including newsletters, social media, websites, and email campaigns
Design marketing materials, including banners, email templates, and digital ads as well as enhance brand consistency across digital touchpoints
Preparing digital and offline advertising assets, including design logos, icons, illustrations, postcards, flyers, posters, invitations, ads, brochures, banners, signage, diagrams and reports for print, websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms
Assisting in the development of annual reports, brochures, and other marketing collateral
Collaborate with staff for fair, conference, and other event needs
Digital
Maintaining the website, tracking, special sections, forms, and associated functions
Optimize designs for different screen sizes, ensuring responsiveness and usability.
Sending out HTML and graphic-based emails, when needed
Creating videos, animations and/or motion graphics for digital campaigns, websites and promotional content
Reporting & Best Practices
Track and analyze project outcomes and how they can be improved based on quantitative and qualitative data.
Creating templates that others can implement
Stay updated on design trends, animation techniques, and emerging technologies
Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree required
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Adobe Audition, etc.), Canva, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, website development and CMS, and social media (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) management required.
A comprehensive understanding of Google and social media insights, advertising, and other opportunities
Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) is a plus.
Experience in graphic design, video production, and the editing of digital and print materials, including social media content and more.
Familiarity with Prezi, PowerPoint, or other presentation tools.
Be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Prior professional experience in the field of website maintenance (including SEO), managing vendor relationships, and creating digital and print marketing materials.
Proven experience combining data and analytics with creativity when creating and evaluating projects.
The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects required.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
Ability to work well with children, teachers, parents, and partners.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range $55,000 - $75,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Overview
The Controller will have the primary responsibility for the overall effective financial management of all assets and liabilities, supervising the daily operations of the Finance team, ensuring complete and accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger and prompt reconciliations, monitoring accounts receivable and payable collections, and working with auditors to ensure overall compliance with accounting/tax pronouncements. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who, in partnership with the CFO, will have responsibility for all aspects of the finance function. This is a full-time exempt 12 month position.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
* Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
* Coordinate and support all audit activity and preparation of 990 by external audit firm.
* Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
* Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Assist in annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
* Oversee all financial, project/program, and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grants/fund period.
* Develop financial modeling and budget for government and foundation submissions.
* Process payables; receivables; receipts; invoicing; payroll.
* Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with senior leadership.
* Support Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer in engaging the Board's Finance committee around organizational budgets, forecasts, and issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
* Develop and manage accounting team.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
* Minimum of seven years of accounting and finance experience, ideally beginning in accounting and audit required.
* Experience gathering, evaluating, presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders required.
* Experience with budget development and forecasting required.
* Extensive knowledge of non-profit accounting required.
* Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for the organization's mission is essential preferred.
* Expertise in INTACCT and Excel preferred.
