BronxWorks is seeking one Program Specialist to join a diverse and enthusiastic team at Cooper Gardens, a multi building supportive housing program located in the Bronx, NY (walking distance to Arthur Avenue.) Cooper Gardens provides services and permanent housing to 95 formerly homeless households, consisting of both individuals and families with children. The ideal candidate is passionate about teamwork, has some experience in office and administrative support, and has an interest in working with the populations we serve. RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide direct services to clients, including intake, engagement, assessment, referral, service plan development, advocacy, counseling, exit summaries and follow-up.
Conduct home visits and other field work, as required.
Document all interactions with, or on behalf of, clients.
Facilitate tenant meetings, activities and events.
Create and maintain a system to track purchase orders, invoices, staff equipment, apartment inspections, etc.
Order supplies and furniture for all program needs and coordinate deliveries.
Provide general clerical support, including filing, faxing, word processing, typing, photocopying and sorting mail.
Answer telephones, take messages and direct calls to appropriate parties.
Complete program reports on a monthly basis or more frequently as required.
Greet clients when they enter the office and manage flow of clients in office.
Order, monitor and maintain records for emergency pantry, Metrocards, program spending card/petty cash, gift cards and other incentives.
Manage Representative Payee activities which include but are not limited to, record keeping and managing transactions.
Conduct field visits to other program sites or various locations to deliver or pick up items.
Manage program needs for both Cooper Gardens offices when assigned by the Program Director.
Manage and maintain all supplies and storage rooms in each Cooper Gardens program space.
Report to, and meet with supervisor on a weekly basis.
Attend all assigned staff meetings and training sessions.
Assist with special projects as required.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree or Some College.
1-2 years related experience.
Proficiency in English required; proficiency in a second language strongly preferred.
Proficiency in modem business communications including personal computers, electronic mail, voicemail, facsimile and copier equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong writing and oral communication skills.
Strong presentation skills and ability to represent the agency at functions and meetings.
Ability to collect and analyze client demographics and outcome.
Excellent organizational and teambuilding skills.

Job Description
Organize and implement all aspects and technical portions of core and supplemental underage drinking and drunk driving prevention programs for targeted populations at the State and Local level. Responsible for all program administration including regular liaison and reporting, achievement of established performance objectives, development of programs to achieve objectives and adherence to all program and/or grant policies and guidelines.
This is a remote, work from home position, which will require 40% travel in the local community, availability during daytime working hours, and the selected candidate to reside in the general Long Island, NY or Mineola, NY area. The individual hired will need to have reliable transportation as they will oversee initiatives within the following counties on Long Island: Suffolk and Nassau, as well as the five boroughs of New York City: Queens, Kings (Brooklyn), Richmond (Staten Island), Manhattan, & the Bronx.
This position pays $25/hour at 20 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that goals and objectives as designated by MADD management and/or the grantor are achieved by developing and designing events targeted to accomplish specific objectives and providing marketing and outreach of the program to community agencies. Ensure that grant proposals include MADD's program directives.
Manage the implementation and logistics of adult drunk driving prevention and underage drinking prevention programs through the design and facilitation of training programs at the State and Local level.
Organize and host orientation meetings, evaluation meetings, facilitator training and facilitation of parent workshops and student presentations.
Source and recruit volunteers, as needed, for applicable programs. Provide training, guidance, support and motivation to volunteers and staff by conducting training meetings, telephone coaching and on-site assistance.
Maintain tracking and data collection of programs and/or grant results, financial reports, and the progress for evaluation and improvement. Identify areas that are not fully utilizing the resources available and ensure assistance is provided in a timely manner.
Participate in the implementation of National program evaluation measures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in related field such as Human Services or equivalent experience.
One to two years' experience in work with the implementation of community awareness, education, partnership and youth programs specifically related to community health. Previous experience working with programs or grant administration helpful.
Travel and flexible hours are required.
Strong organizational skills, be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, logically, and concisely both orally and in writing, using appropriate grammar and command of the English language.
Ability to work both independently and with others to resolve issues and maintain composure and professionalism in an environment of changing and/or multiple priorities.
Must be able to work on a timetable, meet deadlines, follow instructions, and accept direction on given assignments.

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES: The HRIS Systems Analyst maintains HR databases and third party systems efficiently in support of core organizational functions and business processes across the business unit. Systems Administration:
Act as the tactical point of contact for all Ceridian Human Resources related systems issues.
Act as systems lead for performance management, merit increase, incentive program and reporting projects.
HRIS Performance Management systems administrator and assists with Performance Management tool rollout and other HRIS systems as directed.
Manage HR databases by overseeing the data administration, analysis and maintenance of HR systems (e.g. Ceridian or other HRIS systems).
Participate and act as a business unit liaison/representative for ongoing systems upgrades and conversions. Ensure HR management is aware of planned software changes and system enhancements.
Maintain appropriate data in new hires, transfers, promotions, and employee status changes.
Share with other team member's systems administration and system-related issues.
Completing data input on a timely basis weekly and monthly.
Data Management:
Assist in the identification of opportunities for automation within HR processes and functions.
Partners with Vendor for completion of annual AAP
Report Administration:
Gather and analyze data in support of business, proposed projects, and systems requirements up to and including corporate plan data maintenance.

Business Systems Partner:

Identify process improvements and assist with implementing new procedures to support all areas of the business.

Process data and paperwork as part of new hires, status changes, employee personal data changes, terminations as needed. Supports Human Resource Business Partners.

The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Mobile SAF-IS Regional Program Specialist to support the Service to Armed Forces and International Services Division mission at Fort Drum and surrounding areas. This position is part of our mobile staff which requires meeting strict medical and security clearances prior to employment. In a mobile role, worldwide deployment is a condition of employment. Mobile staff members typically deploy for 6 months at a time, approximately once every 18-24 months, and can be sent to any military base in the world.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The SAF-IS Regional Program Specialist Mobile assists in the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures but will focused on supporting the delivery of International Services (IS) U.S. programs and services to include International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Youth Action Campaign (YAC) and Restoring Family Links (RFL). This is accomplished through managing volunteers and working with other Red Cross departments to support strong visibility for SAF/IS U.S. throughout the military community.
Serves as part of the Hero Care Center Contingency Team. Acts as the first line of supervision and support to provide casework expertise and manage volunteers and other staff members during surge situations and disaster responses. Supports Disaster Cycle Services (DCS) as necessary in accordance with the DCS COOP SAF responsibilities. Maintains deployment readiness at all times by completing medical requirements, clearance requirements and by completing ongoing training requirements to maintain proficiency with casework and relationship management.

Deployment Readiness: Mobile staff are required to deploy and maintain readiness at all times. In order to maintain their annual readiness certification, the following is required:
Deployment Familiarization Training on military culture and protocols, command relationships, do's & don'ts while deployed and scenario-based situations.
Advanced leadership training and advanced casework training must be completed.
All trainings must be recertified annually to ensure continued readiness
Once activated for deployment, staff will meet regularly with senior leadership to ensure readiness and ability to backfill OCONUS SAF-IS Mobile positions as needed.
Additional training with site specific scenarios with the current staff members at their deployment location is required.
Additional deployment medical requirements must be met.
Must obtain a no-fee passport prior to deployment and a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) upon arrival.

Work Conditions:
Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.

Support both the day-to-day operations and emergency needs of the Hero Care Center as a member of the Hero Care Network Contingency Team.
Completes all trainings and requirements to maintain casework proficiency, to include working shifts and participating in readiness drills.
Responds to emergency, surge and disaster situations, as needed.
To maintain readiness, staff must:
Maintain all medical and security requirements
Engage in annual deployment familiarization program to include trainings and meetings
When activated to deploy, participate in additional trainings and meetings to prepare for deployment
OVERSEAS SETTING ONLY
In addition, mobile staff based overseas may also be responsible for managing the promotion and delivery of all Red Cross services to clients within their jurisdiction. This may include:
Ensuring Training Services programs are supported and promoted in their jurisdiction and that there are sufficient trained volunteers to provide classes
Ensuring Disaster Cycle Services are provided including responding to local, regional and division level disasters and acting as a planning partner for local emergency management and response activities
Establishing and maintaining a positive and mutually beneficial relationship with local Armed Forces Blood Service Programs

World-wide mobility is a condition of employment. It is an essential function of this position and employees must accept assignments anywhere in the world where we provide services to members of the U.S. military and their families.
Mobile staff members must be US citizens and able to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance and no-fee U.S. passport.
Must meet and maintain strict medical and physical requirements, including immunizations required by the U.S. military and Department of Defense.
Responsible for proper wear and maintenance of daily Red Cross Duty Uniform, and live and work in harsh and stressful environment in conflict areas.
Periodically accompanies the military on deployments.
Some station offices are in remote locations without public transportation.
An interim Secret Security Clearance must be obtained if SSC is not currently held.
When deployed, you may be required to work 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week. Privacy is often limited, and you may have to share accommodations with co-workers, military members, etc.

Reception Area Support

Program Support
Responsible for administrative and program support.
Serve as point person for required applications on participants entering any programs that are part of the Education and Workforce (EDW) umbrella.
Assist with data entry of participant information into all EDW systems. i.e. Salesforce, DYCD Connect, ASISTS etc.
Works in collaboration with the staff to de-escalate conflict, and supports all appropriate safety response measures before, during, and after a conflict.
Assist prospective participants with completing registration documents, submitting required paperwork, and addressing other registration-related needs, including providing devices or copies as necessary to facilitate the process.
Manage and distribute MetroCards to participants while maintaining records to complete monthly reporting.
Assist with planning special events for the department and program, including organizing materials and other related tasks.

Position Summary:
The Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) Specialist provides both individual and group financial literacy and coaching assistance to survivors of domestic violence. The EEP Specialist is responsible for providing community financial education, completing intakes with shelter residents, and assisting in the file review process. The EEP specialist works a varied schedule which consists of regular evening hours and occasional weekend outreach events.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Conduct individual financial coaching with survivors of domestic violence in areas such as credit education, budgeting, resume building, and job readiness.
Provide education and assistance regarding employment searches, school enrollment, job training programs, etc.
Advocate for survivors of domestic violence and link with community resources and services as appropriate
Conduct community outreach and provide education and training on domestic violence and financial abuse to finance professionals, business, and the community organizations.
Develop curriculum for and coordinate financial education groups for clients at Haven House and in the community.
Review and complete intakes of all new residents in shelter and provide linkage and referral to public entitlements, community resources, and advocacy services.
