JOB PURPOSE
The Part Time Floating Mentor Certified Teacher (Early Childhood, Preschool, Pre-K) are primarily responsible for being in charge of a classroom during a Group Teacher's absence and in charge of the center during a Program Director's absence. The Part Time Floating Mentor Certified Teacher will work closely with others in facilitating the planning and execution of a program to provide instruction and care for children which supports the educational, social, developmental and health needs of the group, as well as the individual child. The Part Time Floating Mentor Certified Teacher will also serve as support for full-time Group Teachers within the center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Planning, Preparation + Classroom and Behavioral Management (90%)
Gain awareness as to curriculum posted in each assigned classroom and provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving appropriate to the development levels of the children
Supervise all center-based staff (Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Teacher Aides, Family Worker, Cooks, Bookkeeper, Custodians, Substitutes) during the Program Directors absence
Provide ongoing coaching to teaching staff to support them in successfully fulfilling all aspects of their role, including but not limited to effective practices in the following:

Mentor all teaching team members, including substitute teachers
Ensure the center meets all DOH and DOE guidelines and is in compliance
Collect and complete BKS Health and Safety Checklists and logs at the end of each week, review, sign, and organize in a centralized location
Liaise with central team members to ensure Vendor Portal, enrollment, registration, invoicing and compliance tasks are completed
Ensure full implementation of all aspects of Creative Curriculum, policies/procedures and instructional tools with the goal of supporting all children to achieve school readiness goals.
Implement the child assessment system, TSG and developmental screeners, ASQ3 reliably, including understanding child outcomes data and using them to plan and individualize.
Ensure children's safety and complete BKS incident/accident forms as needed
Confidentiality- maintain all staff and family information.

Support (40%)

Support the Center/Program Director in the implementation of all School programs & initiatives
