Role Overview:
As a Senior DevOpsEngineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes, utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Docker, Chef, and Linux (CentOS and Redhat). You'll work across all aspects of our systems, supporting a lean team with a “hands-on” approach to troubleshooting, scaling, and automating our cloud-based systems.
This is an onsite role based our of our Doral or Ft. Lauderdale office.
Key Responsibilities:
•Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
•Build and manage Docker containers and oversee container orchestration.
•Configure and maintain systems using Chef to ensure seamless deployments and high availability.
•Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems (CentOS and Redhat) for optimal performance and security.
•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet rapid development and deployment cycles.
•Optimize existing processes, automate repetitive tasks, and contribute to improving CI/CD pipelines.
•Monitor systems performance, identifying and resolving any issues proactively to maintain stability and uptime.
Qualifications:
•5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related fields.
•Proven experience in managing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
•Strong expertise with Docker containers and experience with configuration management tools, specifically Chef.
•Advanced skills in Linux system administration, including CentOS and Redhat.
•Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, adapting to changing priorities.
•Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding innovative solutions.
Nice-to-Haves:
•Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
•Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
•Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other relevant languages.

Corvid Technologies is seeking a highly talented Embedded Linux Engineer to join our Guidance, Navigation & Controls (GNC) team. The Embedded Linux Engineer's responsibility is to develop firmware for embedded Linux platforms, specifically for flight control applications. The daily tasks include customizing the bootloader and kernel for various processor architectures, developing interfaces between control and sensor functions to the hardware I/O, developing kernel drivers to support custom hardware, implementing operational and management applications, configuring filesystem, and customizing development environments. Requirements and valued experiences for the position are as follows.
Requirements:
BS/MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of previous development experience on Linux.
Strong experience with embedded Linux at the detailed operating system level.
Strong C/C++ programming skills. Be able to create code that is clear, efficient, maintainable, and well documented. C++ OOP embedded development experience is a great plus.
Experience in multi-threaded and/or embedded systems programming.
Proficiency with open source cross-compiler tools and Linux kernel development.
Experience with GDB debugging tool.
Ability to perform source code maturation by performing triage on reported Gitlab issues, applying bug fixes and verify results.
Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate ideas/issues/solutions.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Security clearance.
Highly desirable:
Experience with communication protocols (TCP, UART, SPI, I2C).
Experience with Linux PREEMPT_RT OS implementation and programming user space threaded applications.
Understanding of electrical fundamentals and electronic instrumentation.
Experience with Yocto or other embedded Linux build frameworks.
