JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
* Prepare meals for crew members.
* Prepare store list and retrieve stores.
* Not to exceed monthly budget.
* Perform general maintenance in galley and on vessel.
* Perform sanitary duties in galley.
* Perform seaman/deckhand duties such as handling lines, tow wires, setting blocks, lifting and securing bridles, etc.
* Assist Chief Engineer/Engineer in engine room.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Works indoors and outdoors in various weather and sea conditions wet, humid, noisy and dusty areas. Occasionally uses paints, solvents and thinners.
* Equipment Use: Uses galley appliances and basic hand and hand held power tools.
* May drive company van to deliver stores to vessel.
* Work hours: This is a casual, on-call position. Hours will vary.
* Normal work days are Monday - Sunday.
MENTAL DEMANDS:

* Shall be attentive to detail (s) and alert at all times to ensure safety of vessel and crew.

* Ability to operate and utilize basic hand and hand held power tools. Current TB clearance.
* Education/Training: Completion of culinary schooling with two (2) years meal preparation experience, preferred.
