About the role
The Peer Mentor I is responsible for working alongside a multidisciplinary care team to help people recover from an eating disorder. Peer Mentors focus on providing patients with rapport building, skill building, motivational interviewing, and practical support. Outside of patient sessions, Peer Mentors run support groups for patients and members of their support system, and take on additional tasks as needed. Peer Mentors are comfortable with, and passionate about, sharing their lived experience with eating disorder recovery with individuals currently in the process of treatment and recovery.
Working Hours
Working Hours - Monday - Friday, between 8am-8pm Pacific Time. Each work day is 8 hours, including lunch, breaks, and 2 late work days where your day starts later (10 AM) and also ends later (8 PM) in your patient population time zone. For example, we have Eastern Time, Central Time, and Pacific Time Peer Mentors. If you are hired as a Pacific Time Peer Mentor, your hours will be in Pacific time, given the majority of your patients will live in Pacific Time. Or if you are hired in Mountain Time and the majority of your patients are in Pacific Time your hours will be in Pacific Time.
Responsibilities
Maintain an up-to-date calendar with availability to enable patients to book sessions.
Meet with patients for virtual sessions, tailoring session content to the patient's unique needs, actively listening, and holding space for patient experiences.
Co-facilitate support groups for patients and their supporters.
Practice responsible self-disclosure, drawing from lived experience to an appropriate degree.
Consistently complete thorough and timely documentation according to Equip standards for other providers to access, review, and reference.
Attend and participate in various internal meetings.
Participate in initial and ongoing training as assigned.

Qualifications
Lived experience with eating disorder recovery with the ability to identify as being in a solid space of recovery from an eating disorder.
2+ years of experience working directly with patients in a care setting including, but not limited to, mentorship, social work, or milieu therapy.

Job Overview
The University of Cincinnati Libraries (UCL) seeks a Student Outreach Coordinator to plan, design, evaluate, modify, and coordinate programs for Langsam Library and to provide functional supervision for the Langsam circulation desk evenings and Saturdays. This position will lead efforts to develop, implement and execute innovative programming and extracurricular outreach activities at UC Libraries. Essential Functions
⦁ Design/create and conduct programming, events, and services to increase student engagement with UC Libraries.
⦁ Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives.

⦁ Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives by recommending and monitoring annual budget for extracurricular programs, managing travel arrangement and process expense reports and reimbursement

The Family Peer Mentor Recovery Coach (FPM) serves families referred to children services due to child abuse or neglect and parental substance use. The FPM provides peer support to help families navigate through the child welfare and other systems while also providing hope and motivation to keep children safe and families together. Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Must be certified as a Peer Specialist at time of hire or within the first 6 months.
Must be a self-identified person currently or formerly receiving mental health services; or a self-identified person in recovery from substance abuse disorder (recommended 3 years).
Must have lived-experience with the child welfare system either as a parent or child, with the case closed at least one year or if you do not have direct CPS experience, be able to describe how your substance use affected your child(ren) and family.
May not currently receive clinical services at OneEighty.
If in recovery from addiction must have two years of continuous sobriety.
Must have a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain a driving record that allows the individual to be insurable with the insurance company providing OneEighty's vehicle insurance.
Must be certified in CPR and First Aid or able to attain certification.
Must be trained in administering Narcan.
Must demonstrate no ongoing criminal activity.
Ability to use a computer; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel.
Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality; able to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA standards.
Must maintain appropriate boundaries with clients as set forth in Agency Policies and Procedures.
Must have written communication skills which support the ability to submit accurate documentation and effectively communicate.

Summary:

We are currently recruiting for an Ohio START Family Peer Mentor to work with customers in our Lorain County locations.
Summary:
An Ohio START Family Peer Mentor provides peer support to help families navigate through the child welfare and other systems while also providing hope and motivation to promote healing to keep children safe and families together. An Ohio START Family Peer Mentor serves families referred to the PCSA due to child maltreatment with substance abuse being the primary risk factor.
Essential Functions:
The Ohio START Family Peer Mentor serves as a member of the local START team along with the child welfare caseworker, child welfare supervisor, and behavioral health service provider. The goal of the entire team is to keep children safe and families together. The Ohio START Family Peer Mentor will have a caseload of no more than 10-12 families.
The Ohio START Family Peer Mentor's roles and responsibilities include:
* Participating as an active member of the Ohio START team;
* Working jointly with the Ohio START case worker and behavioral health provider to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of intensive wrap-around services to the START families on his or her caseload to assist with the safety of the child(ren);
* Participating in initial meetings, weekly status meetings and Family Team Meetings to review families' progress and child safety in their respective cases.
* Providing continual exploration of family's needs to empower the family to take ownership over their long-term successes and the safety of the child(ren);
* Supporting the parent(s) in achieving personal independence;
* Connecting START families to community resources;
* Teaching families skills to effectively navigate to the child welfare system;
* Assisting families with identifying and accessing natural support systems in the community;
* Promoting coordination and linkage among providers within local community;
* Coordinating or providing assistance in crisis interventions and stabilization of families;
* Assisting families to develop of empowerment skills through promoting self-advocacy;
* Identify barriers (internal and external) to full participation in community resources and developing strategies to overcome those barriers;
* Providing input on court forms as needed; and
* Providing input on development of the case plan and child safety.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
The START Family Peer Mentor must:
* Demonstrate long term recovery (recommended 3 years) from a SUD;
* Demonstrate no ongoing criminal activity;
* Have lived experience with the child welfare system either as a parent or child, with the case closed at least one year or if do not have direct CPS experience, be able to describe how your substance use affected your children and family; and
* Maintain a current driver's license.

Must adhere to the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board's Chemical Dependency Code of Ethics and demonstrate an understanding of addiction as an illness. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good computer skills required. Must have the ability to effectively work with agency employees, outside contacts, and a diverse client population. Must possess valid Driver's License and have a good driving record (insurable through agency's automobile insurance carrier.)
Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Certification Requirements:
Must be a certified Peer Support Specialist.
Amount of Travel: Moderate, mostly confined to local travel.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Occasional evenings may be required.
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with licensure and experience.

Can effectively operate in an Internet-based, electronic health record (EHR) and other data environments.
