Prepare for examinations by checking equipment and restocking supplies, reviewing patient schedules, reading physician orders and entering patient data accordingly.

What we require of you:
Graduate from a school of Ultrasound and/or Radiologic Technology, along with completion of a clinical rotation in Radiology and/or Untrasound prior to graduation.
RDMS certified or ARDMS Registry Eligible.

Job Summary for ECHO Technologist:
The ultrasound echo technologist performs a variety of ultrasound scanning and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound for ultrasound diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
Performs all specialty areas of ultrasound exams to include assisting radiologists with procedures.
Prepares and reviews images for radiologist / physician interpretation for diagnostic purposes.
Requirements
ECHO Tech Requirements:
Required: Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) from CAAHEP accredited program
Required: RDMS, ARRT (US), or CCI credentialed/registered (eligible if not yet graduated) in appropriate ultrasound specialty.
Required: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and not less than 6 months practical ultrasound experience required.
Required: Vascular registry (if not already) within one year of hire.
Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Desired: Minimum of 6 months practical experience as a full-time sonographer with vascular experience and vascular registry is desirable
Desired: Minimum of 3 years' practical experience as a Full-Time Echocardiographer is desirable.

JOB TITLE: Cardiac Echo Sonographer
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for independently performing high-quality echocardiographic examinations in accordance with established protocols and ICAEL standards. This position plays a key role in diagnostic patient care and contributes to the overall efficiency and clinical excellence of our cardiovascular team.
LOCATION: Gainesville, FL and/or Lake City, FL
POSITION STATUS: Full-time, Part-time, PRN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform transthoracic echocardiograms in accordance with standardized imaging guidelines and TCAVI protocols including:
2D and M-mode imaging of all standard cardiac views
Spectral and color Doppler assessment of all cardiac valves
Evaluation of left and right ventricular size, function, and wall motion
Measurement of left atrial volume, inferior vena cava diameter, and pulmonary artery pressures
Diastolic function analysis
Identify and document abnormal findings, including but not limited to chamber enlargement, valvular disease, pericardial effusion, masses, and wall motion abnormalities, ensuring comprehensive reporting of clinically significant findings.
Accurately document all pertinent findings, measurements, and image annotations in the PACS system to support timely interpretation, comprehensive reporting, and compliance with IAC and ASE documentation standards.
Communicate effectively with patients and their representatives regarding exam preparation, procedure instructions, and follow-up.
Assist in the onboarding and training of students and newly hired technologists.
Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and linens; promptly restock and prepare rooms between patients to support efficient workflow and maintain a safe, hygienic environment.
Clean and maintain equipment according to established protocols; report any malfunctions or concerns to the Manager promptly.
Actively support IAC re-accreditation efforts by ensuring accurate documentation, high-quality image acquisition and timely submission of required case studies and supporting materials.
Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and skill level of the position.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
Associate degree or accredited certificate program in Cardiovascular Sonography required.
Registered in Cardiac Echocardiography through CCI (RCS) or ARDMS (RDCS) required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in cardiac ultrasound preferred.
Maintain BLS certification

Makes appointments in the absence of the Echo Secretary
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience - Successful completion of an accredited Echocardiography program. Previous experience with basic and cardiac ultrasound. A minimum of two years' experience in a medically related field is desired. Must have credentials as either a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS). CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
