The Principal Sourcing Engineer will lead, direct, plan, and execute cross-functional projects with particular attention on the ability to drive strategic decisions, business risk management, technical rigor, and communication effectively and ensure that supplier transfer projects are executed on schedule and within budget.
This critical role will deliver comprehensive operational strategies committed to achieving process capability through the systematic application of six-sigma to achieve value stream stability and lean to achieve the shortest possible lead time by eliminating all forms of waste to optimize the value stream lead time and performance.

**A Day in the Life**
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
+ Develop robust project business cases, including project plans with major deliverables & milestones, project investments including capital, direct and labor expenses, and calculating the financial numbers.
+ Provide support to the Supply Management team in finding additional cost savings opportunities in four major enablers but not limited to: Manufacturing Transfers, Advance Sourcing Ideation Program, VA/VE initiative, and Value Stream Improvement Program by leveraging candidate experience and knowledge in Lean-Sigma tools and PMP best practice, to increase our current & future cost savings pipeline.
+ Lead the strategic planning of Supply Management projects by leveraging the knowledge of our cross-functional project teams to successfully develop a robust business case until the commission phase of component supply transfer initiatives, as well as transform value steam capabilities through innovative VAVE and Lean-Sigma Strategies.
+ Provide direction and leadership to a cross-functional transfer team responsible for ensuring project commitments are achieved through the organization, leadership, business case management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, issue resolution, planning, and execution.
+ Develop, communicate, and document transfer project strategies and plans, including a budget, detailed schedule creation/maintenance, and KPIs. Provides input to establishing program objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgets
+ Establish a measurement and reporting framework to review and report project progress with key stakeholders and management teams.
+ Utilize appropriate project management tools, and communicate plans and risk management techniques to create rigor in project planning and execution
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
+ Bachelors degree required
+ Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience
**Nice to Have**
+ Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Engineering is highly preferred
+ PMP certification a plus.
+ 7 years of product, process manufacturing, supply chain and/or quality engineering experience leading cross functional projects.
+ A proven track record of delivering large and complex product and/or supplier transfer projects on time, within budget, and within a regulated environment.
+ Lean and/or Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification.
+ Experience in medical device technology: Preferred
+ Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, often across different sites and geographies.
+ Broad understanding of medical device development processes compliant with QSR and ISO 13485.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Project to develop schedules, allocate resources and establish program budgets.
