We are seeking a self-motivated and creative professional with proven persuasive graphics, illustration, and layout skills. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of graphic designers, which includes all levels of creative roles, to execute design, compose layout, and coordinate with the marketing and sales teams. A hybrid work arrangement is allowed for this role; selected candidate must be located within commuting distance to the Columbus, OH or Charlotte, NC BC offices. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of branding, be proficient in using design software, and have a basic grasp of color, layout, and typography. Job Description AECOM is seeking an Emerging Fire Protection Engineer to join our growing Ohio Fire Protection Group, based in Cleveland or Columbus, Ohio . This position offers the opportunity to support and lead design efforts on complex and high-profile projects across several markets. The Ohio Fire Protection Group supports a wide range of building types and industries, giving engineers exposure to nearly every aspect of the fire protection profession. Our projects include federal and DoD facilities, cultural centers, airport infrastructure, laboratory and cleanroom, higher-education buildings, historic renovations, and industrial manufacturing sites. This diversity provides exceptional opportunities for technical growth and cross-market experience. The selected candidate will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and architects across the U.S. and will play a key role in delivering technically sound, code-compliant, and innovative fire protection and life safety solutions. US West Buildings + Places has a vast market spread and geography, providing opportunities across a wide range of project typologies, including Science & Technology, Advanced Manufacturing, Commercial, Aerospace, Higher Education, Industrial and Process, Transportation, Aviation, Sports and Federal market sectors across the western United States and beyond. As a dynamic team of Architects, Planners, and Engineers we strive to incorporate beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. • Identifies discrepancies in results. • Provides guidance to entry level engineers. • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Familiarity with NFPA standards and the International Building and Fire Codes U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the work Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Revit and AutoCAD Experience designing sprinkler and/or fire alarm systems Additional Information Sponsorship for US work authorization is not offered now on in the future for this position.
