About the role:
The National Accounts - AccountExecutive is responsible for maintaining persistency on an assigned book of business and oversees all aspects of Strategic Non-Medical Solutions (SNS)' consulting services provided to our clients on the absence and disability programs.
Core Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Retain existing clients on entire Book of Business (BOB). Coverage lines include Group Life, Disability, AD&D, Dental and Voluntary Benefits
• Support new business opportunities with existing clients

• Maintain history of all work done for each client

• Ensure all work product delivered to client is free of errors, meaningful, and meets SNS' service standards
• Establish and maintain trust with clients by consistently providing superior service, meeting all deadlines, and delivering as promised
• Manage up to 3 Account Managers (AM) and Sr. Account Managers (SAM) who provide support on assigned BOB; mentor the AMs and SAMs and foster their career development
• Act as mentor to other members of service staff, assisting with training, guiding and coaching as needed
• Review or monitor travel and expenses to ensure resources are being used efficiently.
• Provide oversight of all administrative aspects of book of business management. Includes managing and tracking of clients at risk, completion and billing of audits and other financially related tasks. Ensuring the AMs and SAMs are updating CRM on a consistent basis; internal and external client document is updated and current; oversight of the managing of daily tasks and cases through completion.
Skills needed:
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10 years' progressive experience in a similar lead role in Group Insurance National Accounts (10,000+ lives), ideally from a carrier or broker background.

About the Role: Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business. Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues, and ensuring no errors or omissions. Serve as a subject matter expert for the account management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Competence: Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
Team Leadership: Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
Customer Service: Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
Policy Management: Manage policy expirations and renewals.
Renewal Process: Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts, collecting outstanding balances.
System Maintenance: Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Activity Monitoring: Monitor and maintain activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industry
Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
Required active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
High School Diploma (or equivalent)

SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Market all lines of commercial insurance and directly impact revenue goals through the acquisition of new business and the retention of renewals.
* Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends, and make recommendations to correct deficiencies.
* Act as account liaison for the producer in dealing with other departments within Hub for the quoting of specialized lines of coverage.
* Assist producers with explanation of coverage analysis in the renewal process, and participate in renewal presentations when requested.
* Execute a quality control process for policies and quotations delivered assuring coverage, condition, rating, and pricing accuracy by completing program analysis/comparisons.
* Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, company visitations, and firm, but fair negotiations to include monthly calls as directed by leadership. Some travel could be required monthly.
* Maintain state of the art knowledge of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, insurance company changes, rating techniques, and coverage developments.
* Demonstrate an understanding of our company utilization strategies by appropriate risk submissions.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 to 10 years of marketing and negotiation experience with renewals and new business

Oversee the maintenance of current and historical plan designs, process maps, rates, plan documents and other pertinent client information in SNS client database to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the system.
Perform certificate and contract reviews and plan design analyses
Attend and participate in claim audits
Identify, assess, resolve, and/or escalate issues, concerns or challenges as needed.
Skills Needed :
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role at a comparable level in Group Insurance.
High level of knowledge about the benefits we service including short-term disability long-term disability, leave programs, life insurance, AD&D, voluntary benefits, dental, and vision.
High level of technical knowledge in all components of contracts, plan design, claim processes, and vendor capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and presentation skills are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required;
Self-directed with a positive drive and approach, including the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a virtual working environment.
Must be detail-oriented and have highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and manage strict deadline and turnaround time requirements.
Ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization and with clients through confident communications and actions based on integrity.
Must be actively licensed (Life, Accident, and Health License) or willing to obtain a license in the state of residence within the first 12 months of employment.
Preferred:
Experience with Salesforce.

The Employee Benefits AccountExecutive will work closely with clients and producers to service new and existing accounts to achieve Agency sales goals and service standards. On accounts with no assigned producer, the expectation is that of a Producer. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Manage and retain existing book of business and pursue new opportunities for the book, where appropriate, including specific business plan for growth
Spend approximately 50 to 60% of the time outside with customers and new business opportunities
Provide customer relations with all levels of client's decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives
Follow-up to address customer needs and resolve any problems or issues
Develop and oversee customer service plans for each client and understand the needs of the customer
Prepare customer renewals and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer's requests/requirements
Negotiate with company underwriters
Schedule and or conduct open enrollment meetings as well as any other group events such as Health Fairs
Correspond with markets and clients, accompanying producers or going alone on customer visits, as necessary
Remain current on industry trends and information, new product development, legislation, coverage and technology
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Four years of insurance experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Life and Health License or obtaining it within 3 months maximum

The Benefits Account Manager provides support to employee benefit lines by maintaining, expanding, and servicing assigned accounts
How You Will Contribute:
New Business marketing including, but not limited to rating and quoting employee benefit lines
Spend up to 10% of the time outside of the office with clients.
