The Vendor Payable Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing accounts payable transactions for offices within the Retail division in accordance with established company practices and timelines.
How You Will Contribute
Receive and process invoices; apply the correct invoice coding for department and expense type.
Identify and code prepaids accordingly and schedules expense amortization.
Prepare and schedules vendor payments according to trade discounts and payment terms
Leverage software automation for process efficiencies.
Collaborate with profit centers to resolve errors.
Research and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers.
Build courteous and successful relationships with vendors and profit centers to maintain efficient practice.
Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office.
Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology including professional development and continuing education.

Skills & Experience to Be Successful
Knowledge of accounts payable
Working knowledge of financial accounting.
Proficient in data entry and management
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office environment, including but not limited to Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Proficient knowledge of the use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, etc.)
1-3 years' accounts payable experience
Workday financials experience preferred

Possess a detailed knowledge of the client's business and industry, being able to articulate applicable exposures to loss, insurance coverages, and appropriate/available risk management/control solutions
Develop strong and productive professional relationships with cognizant insurance carrier marketing, underwriting, and risk control staff, including a detailed familiarity with each carrier's products and services in support of assigned clients

SUMMARY:
The Account Manager manages a book of insurance business, while acting with a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making. Provides professional, courteous service to our clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues, resulting in a rate of account retention that meets or exceeds expectations. Provides a high level of support to Producers in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business. May also be responsible for account rounding and the development of new business as appropriate and in accordance with standard practices, policies, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Makes major decisions independent of manager approval on books of insurance business for which the incumbent is responsible.
Works closely with Producers and other HUB personnel on all aspects of client service, marketing, and renewal while adhering to HUB's best practices and standard procedures.
Oversees the preparation and implementation of all transactions, paperwork, and internal processing for assigned accounts.
Acquires understanding of clients' insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability. Stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients. Makes appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes independent of manager approval.
Acts as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve escalated complex service issues that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve. May also negotiate with underwriters and carriers. Troubleshoots claims and billing issues.
Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.
Develops new business from existing accounts and assigned leads and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies and follows-up on cross-selling opportunities when appropriate.
Manages, organizes, and conducts client meetings when necessary.
Appropriately documents conversations with clients and carrier representatives and updates all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems.
Travels on company business as required.
Prepares reports for management as required.
Oversees functions performed by Assistant Account Managers and Technical Assistants as required.
Supports, mentors, and trains Assistant Account Managers and Technical Assistants as necessary.
Attends industry related continuing education training and courses.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least 5 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency in an insurance Account Management role in required lines.
Excellent oral and written English communications skills.
Superior customer service and problem solving skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to work a regular, full-time work schedule at HUB's facility(s) and ability to travel on business when required.

Have regular meetings with wellness to formulate strategy and follow-up on deliverables and deadlines for each client.
Meet with all department heads to regularly communicate progress and timelines for each client.
Meet with carrier reps, executives, and underwriters to establish relationships, negotiate renewals, understand new products, attend educational and CPE events etc.
Assist with RFP responses.
Provide due diligence data requests, reviews, and executive summary. Present to diligence team your finding and the executive summary.
Advise clients on all matters related to their benefits and resolve escalated issues from internal team.
Perform quarterly or semi-annual claims/data reviews, along with annual pre-renewal and renewal meetings.
Perform open enrollment meetings when necessary and assist in all departments with whatever is needed to meet deadlines you have
established.
Travel to client sites as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Licenses and Certifications:
Florida License 2-15 or obtain within first 90 days
Skills & Experience to be Successful
