The Service Operations Leader provides overall oversight of the Service operational functions, leads the Service team, manages a book of business, and supports the Benefits Leader on department projects and initiatives. The Service Team Leader is also responsible for maintaining, updating, and delivering ongoing procedural training. The individual must possess a strong working knowledge of health insurance processes, compliance, and markets. Use lead lists to establish contact and schedule appointments. Meet with prospective clients and existing clients. Maintain knowledge of carrier and wholesaler needs and make recommendations to Account Executive during the submission process. Design insurance programs and recommend coverages to clients based on risk characteristics. Submit complete and accurate applications and related submission documentation to Account Executive. Meet new business production goals and objectives as determined. Must conduct phone prospecting, face-to-face prospecting and through social media efforts. Conduct sales presentation to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business. Explain coverage and exclusions to clients and document explanations in agency management system. Educate clients on agency payment expectations and cancellation procedures. Provide claim assistance to clients. Contact clients for collection of past due premiums, as needed. Develop, maintain, and manage a book of business for additional business and referrals. Solicit referrals from clients. Review existing accounts/policies at least annually to round out accounts and address any changes. REQUIREMENTS: Valid Florida 2-20 Insurance License required. 3-5 years of experience in sales. A high school degree or equivalent degree is required. Successful sales background. Maintain Errors & Omissions insurance. Meet state continuing education requirements. Knowledge of EPIC system a plus. Ability to work well under deadlines in changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently. Excellent presentation skills. Reliable transportation to meet with prospective and existing clients. Above average analytical skills to determine prospective client needs. Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
