SUMMARY: The Field Construction Quality Manager (FCQM) will be responsible for overall quality control and have the authority to act in FCQM matters, including maintaining an effective quality management system (QMS). The FCQM will be on-site (full time) during construction whenever work is in progress. The Field Construction Quality Manager shall have experience with the processes and procedures associated with three phases of Construction Quality Control ranging in size of $5M to $50M or more. Job requirements will include travel, temporary duty assignments, or relocations. Willingness to travel for project assignments is a must. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The FCQM is responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of the Quality System for a specific project. Regardless of other duties, the FCQM is responsible for: Planning project quality controls required by the BRPH construction & integrated services (C&IS) quality systems and contract requirements. Fully implementing all provisions of the BRPH C&IS Quality System and related documents on the project. Managing the operation of the BRPH C&IS Quality System on the project. Ensuring that the Quality System is established and implemented by persons doing work that impacts quality. Monitoring progress of activities. Ensuring that the C&IS Quality System is maintained. Acting as the project quality liaison with parties outside the company on matters relating to quality. Reporting to project and senior management on performance of the C&IS Quality System, including needed improvements. Reviewing and approving project C&IS Quality System records. Reviewing and approving project quality-related contract submittals. Managing all project inspection and quality control activities. Controlling corrective actions. Resolving quality nonconformance's. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of experience as a construction project engineer, general construction superintendent on similar type projects or a licensed professional engineer or registered architect. USACE/NAVFAC Certified Construction Quality Control Manager is required or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire. The American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) is a plus Working knowledge of Procore is required. Open to adapting to new technologies, i.e. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Basic working understanding/knowledge using AI. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
