Operations could also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions i.e., working in rain, snow and sleet. Rotating shifts/days worked based on shop and field needs. Vigorous manual labor required Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 pounds frequently Long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching or similar activities may be necessary in tight spaces as well as elevated heights. Job Description Summary: The Truck Detailer position supports the Quality Control and Production staff in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, appearance, and durability of J-Tech trucks and products. Daily tasks include the cleaning of the exterior and interior of trucks and other large assemblies, the application of preservation coatings, and damage remediation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Clean the exterior of vehicles to meet or exceed company standards Clean the interior of the vehicle to meet or exceed company standards Waxing and buffing of chassis cab paint Rust and damage remediation on painted or powder coated surfaces Apply undercoating, bed coating, and other production for preservation and longevity. Understand and correctly apply various cleaning products and techniques to most efficiently accomplish standards. Safely operate various class vehicles, up to medium duty trucks. Safely employ basic hand tools, pressure washers, and spay guns. • Perform Self-Quality Assurance checks to look for defects or other quality issues, in accordance with set company standards. • Follow work orders and working instructions, both verbal and written. • Responsible for keeping work area clean and neat throughout the day and cleaning up work area at the end of each day. Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED required Must possess a valid Drivers License Must have excellent attention to detail Salary negotiable depending on experience and skill set.
