William Jennings Bryan University was chartered in 1930 and admitted its first class in the fall of that year.
Founded in 1930, Bryan College has a rich legacy of educating students to become servants of Christ and make a difference in today’s world.
In February 1937, all connection with Southwestern University and the Methodist denominations were severed.
In 1970, after Allen Academy closed its junior college division, Blinn opened a new location in Bryan.
The first class of students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in August 2003.
The Associate of Science in Cardiovascular Technology program received accreditation from the Council on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in 2004.
In May 2005, the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs approved the College's request to transfer its academic affiliation from the University of Kansas to Bryan College of Health Sciences.
The program received Initial Accreditation from CAAHEP in 2008.
The sonography program has now grown into a baccalaureate program with majors in Adult Cardiac & Vascular dual major and Diagnostic Medical Sonography beginning in 2012.
In August 2018, Blinn celebrated the grand opening of its new academic facility at The Texas A&M University System's RELLIS Campus in Bryan.
