Budd Van Lines is looking for a Director of Fleet Safety & Compliance to lead the safety operations of our national fleet, Household Goods Experience required. This position plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations, while actively supporting and improving safety initiatives for both employees and independent contractors.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage fleet safety and compliance programs
Audit and manage ELD, HOS violations, CSA BASICs, and safety data
Ensure compliance with CFR 49, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and state safety regulations
Maintain driver qualification files, annual MVRs, and inspection records
Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions for safety improvements
Supervise Safety & Compliance team and support garage operations
Provide reports to leadership and collaborate on equipment and driver policy decisions
Be available for emergency response and on-call situations
Requirements
3-5 years of experience in fleet safety or transportation compliance
Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA/OSHA regulations
CDL, Class A license is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Full-time on-site availability required
Compensation
💰 Salary Range:
$115,000-$130,000 per year

Ensure harmonized tariff research, binding rulings, protests, duty rates, and valuation on import shipments into the United States are processed timely and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations
