Performs venipunctures and documents appropriately. * Orders tests/labs etc with correct patient diagnosis. * Educates patients and families by utilizing existing teaching materials, documenting appropriately. * Assists with referrals to other departments, scheduling visits as needed. * Calls patients to relay instructions, lab, x ray results, etc, as directed by the provider. * Documents in a descriptive and complete manner. * Notifies the provider appropriately when there is a change in patient condition. * Remains current on policies and procedures, follows and promotes others to follow policy and procedures. Notifies the nurse supervisor when policies or procedures need to be added or updated. * Consistently performs nursing skills accurately. * Plans patient care with organization. * Appropriately uses forms i.e. Developmental Screening forms, Epic Downtime forms.
