Since its inception in 1935, the BPO has served as Buffalo’s cultural ambassador.
Kleinhans Music Hall was officially opened on October 12, 1940; this date also marked the Buffalo Philharmonic’s first concert in the hall under the baton of Franco Autori.
In 2001, the Buffalo Philharmonic began a formal program to record and preserve its own history.
