    This is a union position. You will earn union-provided insurance after 500 hours of work. (larger power tools are provided on the job site). Builder's Bloc has opportunities for a Drywall Hanger. The ideal candidate has experience using hand tools and power tools, is physically conditioned for challenging manual labor, prefers working outside, can handle working in all weather conditions, knows how to hustle to get the work done, and can handle direct, constructive feedback. We are looking for construction workers with 2 or more years of experience who can help train less experienced team members. A willingness to work hard, take feedback, learn from others, and show up every day is required! Meeting those requirements will lead to a steady career with job satisfaction. Job duties include: Carrying and placing drywall on walls and ceilings Using nail and screw guns to fasten drywall to the wooden studs Work on scaffolding and ladders Providing training support to less experienced employees Taking direction from the job foreman to stay on schedule and meet customer expectations Work is based in or around the greater St. Louis metro area plus other locations in Missouri and Illinois. Work locations can vary as projects are completed and new projects begin. Employee's place of residence is taken into consideration; however, some projects may require a longer commute. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during the day. Work schedules can vary based on weather and project timelines. Flexibility in both schedule and commute is key. Key Responsibilities Assist with installation and repair of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, metal, and other systems Load, unload, and transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment Remove debris and old roofing materials from job sites Help set up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment Operate basic hand and power tools as needed Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Follow instructions from supervisors and senior technicians Comply with all company safety policies and procedures Qualifications Comfortable working at heights and outdoors in various weather conditions Basic construction or roofing experience is a plus, but not required Ability to work well in a team environment Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Good communication skills Pay & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Weekly direct deposit Healthcare insurance (eligible after 90 days of employment) 401(k) retirement plan with company match up to $500 Company-provided phone Paid Time Off (PTO) accrued up to 40 hours per year $15,000 company-paid life insurance (eligible after 90 days of employment) Schedule Full-time Overtime and occasional weekends as needed Equal Opportunity Employer Jolly Roofing & Contracting Co., LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
