PURPOSE This is an entry-level position that performs repetitive assembly operations to mass-produce products such as windows, doors, trusses, panels, or stairs by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together. Cut products to specific measurements as needed. Removes defective products as needed. Tends machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line. Works at different workstations as production needs require. Works in environment where tasks change as varying models of product are produced. Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience delivering merchandise to customers using a box truck or similar vehicle. * 1+ years of experience operating material handling equipment. * No more than 2 minor accidents in the past rolling 3 years. * No more than 2 moving violations in the past rolling 3 years. * Wholesale distribution experience. PURPOSE Under general supervision, monitors accuracy of inventory information and makes adjustments to inventory records based on physical verification and computer research. Maintains inventory system quantities and costs on an ongoing basis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Compiles data from records and shipping/receiving documents, requisitions, contracts and accounting reports. Performs cycle counts per schedule, verifying all counts for accuracy by comparing physical counts to computer quantity and identifying discrepancies. Researches variances between physical counts and computer quantities and makes appropriate corrections in the system. Assigns SKU numbers to inventory, maintaining SKU logic, and maintains/updates SKU files including deleting dropped or changes SKU's. Creates and reviews appropriate reports for management, follows up on discrepancies such as negative on-hands and out-of-stock. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers; attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
