CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Primarily responsible for safely driving a Box Truck (24 feet in length) in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
+ Load/Unload materials (e.g., doors) required by customers at the job site, ensuring no damage to material. Assist customer with the placement of material at the job site.
+ Ensure compliance with applicable feder
al and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
+ Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
+ Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and report any discrepancy to the dispatcher immediately.
+ Maintain accurate vehicle records and logs
+ Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
+ Check load and ensure it is properly secured before leaving the yard.
+ Check load to ensure correct material and amount of material is being delivered.
+ Drive within the laws and rules of the state.
+ Other duties as requested directed or assigned.
Requirements
CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Minimum of a valid Class B CDL license.
+ Clean Driving record.
+ Ability to meet all USDOT physical regulations.
+ Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
+ Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.
+ Ability to read maps and navigate to job sites in a timely manner.
+ Previous experience working with doors, lumber or building supplies strongly desired.
+ Basic match skills and ability to read a tape measure.
+ At least one year of driving experience preferred.
+ High school diploma or GED preferred.
CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
+ The position regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, talking and hearing. It frequently requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with the hands and arms throughout the day.
+ Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Miller Environmental Group is Hiring! Our CDL Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of utility trucks, box trucks, roll-off trucks, vacuum trucks, guzzlers and other vehicles of the trade consistent with the proper licenses. This is a labor intensive position.
Responsibilities of CDL Driver :
Cleaning and decontamination of regulated materials from spills, trenches, drains, oil/water separators, boilers, tanks and other industrial cleaning applications.
Will run, maintain and troubleshoot motors, pumps, chainsaws, generators, outboard motors, air compressors, asphalt cutters and other small power tools
Prompt attendance on job assignments which may encompass early and after hours start times
Ability to properly fill out daily job sheets and waste manifests
Ability to read and understand OSHA safety regulations and perform all tasks safely
Maintain up to date training and education for licenses, permits and regulatory information specific to job responsibilities
Qualifications/Requirements for CDL Driver:
CDL Class A or B license; Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement preferred; Must be able to operate a manual transmission (10-speed or higher)
Willing to work off-hours and be available on-call for scheduled rotations
Willing to travel 10-15% of the time between branch offices (or spill sites) for emergencies/equipment delivery
Individuals must be pro-active self-starters who can work safely in crews of 2-10 and follow chain of command structure, with guidance and orders dictated by supervisors and foreman
Must pass DOT hazmat physical, drug and alcohol screening, and detailed background check

> NON-CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER NON-CDL BOX TRUCK DRIVER Job Type Full-time Description * Primarily responsible for safely driving a Box Truck with a gross combination weight rating, or GCWR, under 26,000 pounds in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
* Load/Unload lumber and building materials (e.g., doors, windows, plywood, millwork, etc.) and deliver materials to customers/job sites, ensuring no damage to material.
* Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
* Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and report any discrepancy to the dispatcher immediately.
* Maintain accurate vehicle records and logs
* Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
* Check load and ensure it is properly secured before leaving the yard.
* Check load to ensure correct material and amount of material is being delivered.
* Drive within the laws and rules of the state.
* Other duties as requested directed or assigned.
Requirements
* Valid NJ license.
* Clean Driving record.
* Ability to meet all USDOT physical regulations.
* Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
* Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures.
* Ability to read maps and navigate to job sites in a timely manner.
* Previous lumber or building supplies experience strongly desired.
* At least one year of box truck driving experience preferred.
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* The position regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, talking and hearing. It frequently requires the use of hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with the hands and arms throughout the day.
* Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
