    We are currently seeking EXPERIENCED CMT TECHNICIANS willing to travel to long-term remote projects throughout the country. Minimum requirement of ACI Concrete Certification and 6 months of experience. Valid DL, clean MVR, good background check. Traveling technicians will receive a weekly per diem amount to pay for food and living expenses during their stay in the town nearest the remote project. We are fortunate enough to work on some really cool projects, such as working on Windfarm projects to building manufacturing plants for major companies. This position exists for the purpose of providing testing observation on the assigned field project according to the applicable specification for independent testing laboratories. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sample preparation, collection & testing, field observations, and documentation of construction activities on site pertaining to soil, concrete, grout, mortar and asphalt. The position requires the incumbent to clearly identify, verbally communicate, and document test results and activities. This position is paid hourly and is eligible for overtime. SCHEDULING NOTE: This position will require NIGHT shift work as well as some WEEKEND work days. The position requires an incumbent to be trained to: • Receive, understand and execute written and verbal directions • Review specifications for civil and structural plans and identify sections applicable to the scope of work • Perform tests, general construction inspections and observations according to project requirements with some supervision. • Submit daily field reports to document testing, inspections and field observations • Document and communicate non-conforming items to designated project supervision • Clean, maintain and calibrate all assigned equipment according to applicable codes and standards • Transport, operate and care for a nuclear density gauge as assigned, meeting all safety, care and maintenance guidelines as outlined in the Radiation Safety Program Policy. • Understanding of Proctor Compaction Test and USCS Soil Classification. • Trained & demonstrated competency in One-Point Proctor testing in the field. Must be validated. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position is generally full time, with a normal work schedule of 7AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday. Hours will regularly be adjusted to meet construction schedules of clients and may include weekend rotations, night work, and early morning work. Travel Daily travel to and from construction work sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office, is expected. Short term, out-of-town work, generally lasting less than 2 weeks, is probable. Long term, outof-town assignments may be required occasionally with advance notice of planned dates. Special Requirements 1. Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license. 2.     The Technical Engineer JNY provides engineering and technical execution support to the design, integration, testing, fielding, and sustainment of Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS). The individual applies technical expertise to ensure systems meet operational training requirements, technical specifications, and lifecycle performance objectives. Responsibilities include supporting engineering analyses of TADSS capabilities; assisting with development and review of technical requirements, specifications, interface control documents, and system documentation; and supporting system integration activities across hardware, software, networks, and training enablers. The Technical Engineer participates in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups to identify risks, resolve issues, and ensure technical alignment with objectives. Additional duties include supporting test and evaluation activities; assisting with data collection, analysis, and reporting; supporting configuration and change management activities; and contributing to development of technical reports, briefings, and acquisition artifacts. The role collaborates closely with systems engineers, test engineers, military doctrine analysts, acquisition analysts, logisticians, and leadership to ensure technical solutions effectively support Army training outcomes. The Technical Engineer provides practical, hands-on engineering insight and recommendations to improve system performance, interoperability, maintainability, and training effectiveness across portfolios.
