DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This internship involves administrative tasks to assist the Maintenance Systems Support Division. Responsibilities will include filing insurance claims for property damage and processing accident damage invoices.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time internship that will run from May 2026 through August 2026
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Internship Requirements:

Who You Are:
Individual will possess knowledge and experience to support Versar Global Solutions' team performance on assigned United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair (RMMR) task orders. This position work in the Project Management Office (PMO) for the Deputy Program Manager and is responsible for the overall approach for performing recurring maintenance activities required by the task order. This includes developing and documenting maintenance procedures as well as coordinating and scheduling maintenance events; reviewing recurring maintenance (RM) reports; Facility Maintenance Plans (FMP) updates; maintaining all copies of the maintenance binders, both physical and digital; preparation of the three-week look ahead schedule; updating of schedules and reports in accordance with the company's quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
*This position is contingent upon award.
What You'll Do:
Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with contract requirements. Manage contract master schedules as well as the three-week look ahead schedules, which encompass maintenance, repair work, quality, and safety inspections.
Review RM reports and deficiency lists for completeness, quality, accuracy, and contract compliance. Route documents for corrections and/or signatures through multiple entities, ensuring timelines required by the contract are met. Upload approved report versions into the USACE Resident Management System (RMS).
Coordinate notification of maintenance visits with project management and ensure documentation into computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Coordinate with field personnel to ensure accurate and updated FMPs.
Document inspection dates and RM report submission and approval dates, among others.
Create/update CMMS for Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) site details, maintenance schedules, and repair work schedules if needed.
Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow project management team to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports.
File and manage cloud-based programs and/or share drive files with RM reports and documentation.
Initiate purchase requisitions in the CMMS for subcontractors doing RM events and route to project team for approval.
Review/approve invoices related to RM events and repair work for contract compliance, accuracy, and quality.
Attend project update meetings, ensuring accurate lists and statuses for work assigned.
Conduct/support initial site visits for equipment inventorying as well as visits to USACE HQ for end-of-year reviews, if needed.
Other duties as assigned by the management team.
What You'll Bring:
Two or more years of scheduling or maintenance management experience, or five to ten years of post-secondary education/military service and experience in the DoD/Civilian fuels environment.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the BuildingMaintenanceSupervisor oversees the daily maintenance and repair of all SWACO facilities, lands, buildings, and associated equipment. This role includes supervising employees and contractors, ensuring work is completed on time and meets quality standards, and performing hands-on maintenance tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and facility infrastructure.
Oversee daily buildingmaintenance, repairs, and projects.
Assist with annual budget preparation and manage buildingmaintenance budgets.
Track and manage contracts, prepare new contracting documents, and maintain vendor listings.
Coordinate equipment salvaging and asset disposal activities.
Ensure proper use of the facility Help Desk service request program.
Review and respond to service requests; diagnose and repair systems and equipment.
Maintain compliance with safety standards (PERRP, OSHA, NFPA) and enforce safety protocols.
Supervise and train maintenance staff; conduct regular meetings and performance management.
Repair and troubleshoot solar arrays, CNG fueling stations, and renewable energy systems.
Inspect and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility grounds.
Document maintenance activities and respond promptly to emergency calls.
Other duties as assigned.

Directly supervise maintenance staff and oversee contractors.
Interview, hire, train, and manage performance of employees.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree, trade school certification, or electrical license preferred.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant facility/building management experience; specialized training in solar or CNG systems a plus.

Technical Management:

Project Management:

Training:

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
5 years of buildingmaintenance experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of basic electricity, carpentry, drywall/plaster repairs, plumbing, and landscaping
Microsoft Office skills including Word and Excel
2 years of previous supervisory experience
Must be able to demonstrate a basic mechanical aptitude and be able to operate basic maintenance, construction and landscaping equipment
Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, be detailed oriented, dependable and possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Must possess a valid driver's license, have a satisfactory motor vehicle report at time of hire, and maintain it throughout the duration of employment with the University
Preferred Skills and Characteristics:
Level 1 Building Operators Certificate or equivalent
OSHA training certifications
HVAC certifications

Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
May require work in inclement weather
Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Network Maintenance Technician

Mercury Broadband is seeking a skilled Network Maintenance Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and repair of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network, while also contributing to the upkeep and decommission of broadband tower sites. This hybrid role focuses primarily on fiber splicing and OSP infrastructure, with occasional tower work.
This is an upper-level field technician position requiring hands-on fiber experience and a proactive, safety-focused approach. The successful candidate will demonstrate independence, precision, and the ability to manage both routine and complex tasks with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Splice and maintain fiber optic cables, including loose tube and ribbon; perform mid-span, cabinet, and butt splicing
Construct and seal proper splice enclosures, ensuring grounding, slack storage, bonding, and weatherproofing
Maintain splicing records, fiber schematics, and documentation with attention to detail
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot fiber routes, and repair service-impacting issues promptly
Follow engineering specifications, safety procedures, and project scopes in daily operations
Install or decommission broadband and network equipment at tower premises as needed
Assist with tower maintenance on existing infrastructure
Operate and maintain testing equipment such as OTDR, fusion splicers, power meters, and optical light sources
Occasionally work at elevated heights with appropriate safety gear (up to 300)
Ensure all work meets Mercurys safety, quality, and performance standards
Skills and Requirements:
Strong knowledge of fiber optic networks and FTTH infrastructure
Familiarity with splice matrix documentation, GIS tools (AutoCAD, ESRI), and network design maps
Ability to operate basic hand/power tools and follow structured cabling procedures
Experience with broadband wireless equipment and general telecom infrastructure
Ability to work independently in varying outdoor conditions
Clean driving record and valid drivers license
Minimum of 1 year telecommunications experience preferred
Self-motivated with strong organizational and multitasking skills
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Physical Requirements
Ability to climb towers and structures regularly, including heights of 300500+ feet.
Ability to climb while carrying tools or equipment.
Ability to safely climb ladders (including up to 40 ft).
Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 5080 lbs (frequently or repetitively depending on task).
Ability to move equipment up and down stairs when necessary.
Sufficient hand strength and dexterity to operate hand tools and power tools as well as work with cables, connectors, microwave gear, and small components.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and contort the body for extended periods.
Ability to maintain balance while climbing and working on elevated or uneven surfaces.
Ability to work outdoors and indoors in all weather conditions year-round, including harsh environments.
Ability to work around live electrical components and sensitive equipment.
Ability to see the full color spectrum (important for cable/connector identification).
Ability to hear and communicate clearly with team members.
Ability to handle equipment safely at heights and in confined spaces.
Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period.
May be required to operate general office equipment including but not limited to copiers, printers.
