A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of progressively responsible journey level experience in the field of building inspection and construction, including two years in a supervisory capacity. Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in either a construction-related field such as engineering or construction management, or a management-related field such as public or business administration, or a related field. Substitution: Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
