Departmental Objective The Housing department ensures that student-housing facilities are well maintained, clean and safe for the students of CNU. Purpose of the Position This position will ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas by performing various housekeeping tasks. It will also oversee the work of assigned housekeeping workers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning supplies Good interpersonal and communication skills Basic computer skills Skilled in the use of housekeeping equipment such as vacuum cleaner, buffers, and scrubbing machine Ability to direct work assignments Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs., tolerate frequent bending, stooping, and climbing stairs Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate effectively and to maintain positive relations with faculty, staff and students Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call on a rotational basis Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required Education: * High school graduate or equivalent education and experience that equates to a high school diploma. * Valid driver's license.
