LFG Specialties is a part of the Solid Waste Services group within APTIM's Environmental & Energy Solutions Strategic Business Unit. LFG Specialties is an original equipment manufacturer and has been servicing the solid waste industry (i.e., landfills) since 1987, providing custom fabricated compliance equipment (i.e., landfill gas extraction and compression systems, flares, and evaporation systems for the treatment of landfill leachate), service, and parts. These modular systems are designed, fabricated, and tested at APTIM's Findlay, OH campus, which consists of over 45,000 sq. ft. of fabrication and assembly shop area. These systems serve to minimize fugitive landfill gas emissions and reduce leachate volumes to maintain compliance with the EPA guidelines for MSW landfills and mitigate the release of Greenhouse Gases that deteriorate the ozone. We are one of the leading providers of equipment to the landfill gas industry. We design and fabricate gas flaring, drying, compression and evaporation equipment. We currently have multiple openings for experienced Service Technicians to engage in the maintenance, repair, and startup of our equipment at customer sites. Weekly travel is required. Participates in snow removal as assigned; utilizes shovels, snow blowers, utility vehicles, tractors, salt spreaders and trucks for snow removal; cleans walkways, stairs, parking lots and roadways of ice and snow; applies de-icing products to various areas to melt ice and provide safe conditions. Interior Facilities Support Moves office and conference room furniture (e.g. desks, chairs, cabinets, bookcases) within rooms, between buildings, regional learning centers and off campus locations. Arranges event setups for campus meetings, classroom activities, public events, or conferences (e.g. furniture, stage, equipment, tables, chairs). Conducts regular and routine building upkeep duties to include but not limited to emptying recycle containers and ensuring buildings are in presentable condition (e.g. floor mats straight, white boards clean, chairs pushed in, etc.). Paints small interior areas and exterior areas (e.g. offices, handrails, curbs) and does minor drywall repair as assigned. Removes inappropriate markings, stickers, decals, advertisements, graffiti; performs safe cleanup, removal, and disposal of blood-borne pathogens and other infectious or hazardous materials. Performs emergency flood cleanup as assigned. Assists Police Department during building evacuations and emergencies. - Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment in the data center operates at peak efficiency. - Perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency response for critical systems. - Serve as an expert technical resource, reporting to a program manager and interacting with Onsite Engineering Operations (OEO) and third-party vendors. - Act as the main point of contact for all facility operations within the assigned data center. - Maintain better than 99.999% uptime for mission-critical server support equipment. - Apply safe working practices, including lockout/tagout procedures, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and good housekeeping. - Use hand tools and test equipment to install, troubleshoot, and repair new or replacement parts for existing units. - Read and review blueprints, wiring diagrams, mechanical riser drawings, and job specifications. - Assist higher-level technicians (CET2) with more advanced procedures as needed. - Conduct daily facility walk-throughs, documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature, humidity, and alarm status for trend analysis. - Utilize Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) to monitor and verify the status of infrastructure. - Log all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). - Learn and follow site-specific processes, including incident/outage reporting, procedure execution, and use of SharePoint for accessing procedures and training content. - Understand and participate in site emergency operations plans (EOPs) as a first responder in the data center.
