This position requires daily telephone contacts with the commercial line policyholders, risk managers, and agents. Responsible for the settlement of CGL litigated cases, involving disputes over coverage, liability, and damages issues.
Gather the facts and analyze the statements/testimony and declaration of damages to develop claims resolution strategies.
Work in partnership with defense counsel and all other parties/vendors to bring about a timely cost effective conclusion.
Identifies possibly suspicious claims
Claims handled are transferred existing losses or first notice lawsuits over disputed issues of great complexity where the policyholder's coverage is in question.
These claims require the highest level of investigation, analysis, evaluation, and negotiation.
Responsible for all aspects of each claim, including informal hearings, arbitrations and claims litigation and maintaining a high level of productivity, confidentiality and customer service.
Will be utilized as a technical resource by adjusters.
Will represent the company at mediation, arbitration and trials.
Review and analyze contracts, leases, and identify risk transfer opportunities
Demonstrate ability to write positional coverage letters.

JOB OVERVIEW:

2. Conducts sensitive, confidential, objective and thorough investigations. Prepares reports of the findings, presents findings to specific audiences, and makes recommendations to address root cause issues.Consults, as needed and/or directed, with ER/LR COE, HRBPs, and HR Leadership as appropriate.
3. Partners with Sr. Employee Relations Consultant to develop and evaluate overall employee relations trends/themes across organization and system to understand and address root causes.
4. Works with HRBPs, Learning & Organizational Development, Employee/Labor Relations, and local Employee Relations colleagues to address root causes. Educates employees, managers, and leaders at all levels about effective management practices and leadership styles.
5. Using data and analytics, provides guidance and direction to managers to enhance diversity and inclusion efforts, support workplace culture, and improve employee engagement
6. Partners with system ER/LR COE and Office of General Counsel to assist with the preparation of a response to complaints filed with the MCAD, EEOC or other relevant agencies. May be required to attend and/or testify at hearings and arbitrations as appropriate.
7. Consults with HRBPs and managers concerning the processing of problem resolution cases, assists with gathering all required documentation and takes lead on problem resolution cases directly related to investigations that the ERP conducted, as necessary.
8. Partners with ER/LR Center of Excellence to creates, customizes, and presents workshops concerning employee relations issues, such as Harassment, Progressive Discipline, Employment and Labor Laws, Workplace Violence and ADA/FMLA to managers and HR professionals.
9. Conducts complex climate surveys to assess the general environmental tone within a department or between departments to determine areas of employee concern. Partners with ER/LR, HRBP and Manager to develop action plans to address issues.
10. Manages Interactive Dialogue for requests for Reasonable Accommodations in partnership with Occupational Health, HRBPs, and Operational leadership, and partners with ER/LR as necessary on complex cases.
11. Maintains a current body of knowledge of employment and labor laws.
12. Assists with the development, updating, and interpretation of employee relations policies and procedures.
13. Develops and maintains positive and effective working relationships with all colleagues.
14. May be asked to support and partner in HRBP responsibilities as needed including, but not limited to, areas of Organizational Change and Development, data analytics and dashboard management, intervention and coaching, policy interpretation and communications, training development, committee participation, etc.
15. Using independent judgment, escalates issues to senior leadership as needed.

Requirements:

Electronic & Instrumentation Technicians are responsible for maintaining the electronic and control equipment at MPC and MPLX owned light products and asphalt terminals. E&I Technicians provide the expertise to install, repair, replace, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on terminal equipment that is beyond what terminal operations personnel capabilities. Typical equipment that is maintained by E&I techs includes: Terminal Control Systems, network hardware, electronic presets, tank gauging and high-level alarm systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), card readers, touch screens, and more. Changes in assigned terminals/coverage areas do occur at times for training purposes as well as to balance workload with other E&I Technicians.
This position is within the Terminals organization and will be based in Nashville, TN

Key Responsibilities
1. Inspect and apply operating and performance tests to light product and asphalt terminal electronic and electrical system components to determine causes of malfunctions and operating deficiencies. Through these inspections and tests they determine the extent and feasibility of repairs and recommend replacement or retention of such components on the basis of cost, reliability, and safety considerations.
2. Install and/or set up process control PCs, software applications, cabling, electronic presets, and other electronic and electrical components and equipment. In addition, they work with project leaders to provide input pertaining to new and replacement installations.
3. Repair and maintain electronic and electrical components through disassembly and reconditioning or replacing components. Make repairs on equipment to the board level and sometimes the component level. Make repairs by soldering components and also fabricate cables needed to complete the repairs. Test and adjust components for proper operations.
4. Schedule and perform periodic and preventative maintenance inspections, and testing of electronic and electrical components through visual inspection, reference to technical manuals, drawings, and use of testing equipment. Determine what regular and special maintenance procedures need to be performed, parts requiring replacement, and necessary precautions to keep electronic and electrical components in proper operating condition.
5. Maintain service records and equipment files through a maintenance management system; using Mobility and PC based system to update work orders, purchase materials, report maintenance issues, and track equipment history.
6. Recommend the purchase of superior quality makes, models or types of electronic and electrical components, parts, materials, supplies and repair services best suited to MPC needs.
7. Purchase or request stocks of spare parts, supplies and materials.
8. Work with and assist in directing other workers, both company and contract. Assist Project Leaders on contract projects to inspect work performed for compliance with plans, drawings, and specifications.
9. Assist with PLC installing and troubleshooting, including programming and logic changes.
10. Provide afterhours support as required for Terminal Operations.
11. Provide training to adjacent groups and customers on supported equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required.
2 years in a related field preferred
Terminal operations, trade electrician, degrees or experience in the field of electrical, electronic, IT Infrastructure or PLC programming preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based PCs and smartphone technology is required.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing supplier development and quality assurance activities across a defined supply base. This role ensures suppliers meet company standards for quality, reliability, and performance through strategic alignment, qualification processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead supplier qualification, integration, and ongoing management processes.
Coordinate and oversee First Article Inspection (FAI) activities with cross-functional teams.

Contribute to defining supplier-related requirements (contracts, specifications, supply chain, after-sales).

REQUIRED TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
Equivalent education and professional experience may be considered.
Minimum 10 years' experience in supplier quality or supplier development in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in international supplier management and auditing.

In one avenue, you'll develop a midstream product roadmap for agricultural, industrial, and building envelope domain areas. In another, you'll develop measure tables for existing and potential clients for industrial, agricultural, and building envelope measures. Finally, you'll develop savings calculation spreadsheets for industrial and agricultural measures. These three separate but complimentary deliverables will bolster your experience using your energy efficiency measure calculations in the real world, deepening your applied research on certain sectors of the energy efficiency industry, and using your market potential analysis for energy efficiency market segments.
Your skill gains won't be limited to the engineering department! You'll also be exposed to projects in other departments which tie directly into your engineering work. You will cross-collaborate with the Business Strategy Team to learn about emerging technologies and projects relevant to industrial, agricultural, and building envelope energy efficiency measures. You'll also collaborate with the P&R (Policy & Ratings) department to learn about potential codes and standards which may impact those measures.
This experience will provide insight into:
The development of new technology areas for our energy efficiency programs.
A roadmap of Energy Solutions clients and regions that could potentially adopt industrial, agricultural, and building envelope measures/programs.
Savings calculations and methodologies to utilize in domain areas new to Energy Solutions.
You will also gain or deepen:
Experience in energy efficiency program design and implementation from an engineering perspective.
Understanding of how to review and pull relevant information from a Technical Reference Manual.
Knowledge of established savings methodologies for energy efficiency measures.
Skills working with a cross-functional team on energy efficiency program support.
