Pleasant Grove Elementary School is seeking a reliable, hardworking, energetic Night Sweeper to maintain the cleanliness of our school community. This person will perform routine custodial activities at Pleasant Grove Elementary School site or facility to maintain buildings, and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly and secure condition. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, is trustworthy, works well with others, and maintains an excellent attendance. Position Details * Hours: 6 hours per day (plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch) * Work Year: 182 days * 170 student instructional days * 4 holidays * 7 planning days * 1 extended day Contracted days will be adjusted based on start date. This position is considered full-time with benefits. Shepherdsville Elementary is searching for a highly motivated and positive team member to assist certified teacher(s) in providing instruction to groups of students, monitor and report student progress, and enhance overall student performance. Experience working with students, intervention systems, and small groups are appreciated but not a requirement. This position will provide assistance for students with special needs, particularly emotional and behavioral needs in accordance with district regulations and state law. Candidate must be able to attend training for the position. Candidate must meet all qualifications necessary to be hired for the position as instructional assistant. The position is 6.5 hours per day and 183 days per year. 170 student instructional days, 4 paid holidays, 2 extended days and 7 Bullitt/planning days Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date. (Considered full time with benefits - see below) * Must have 48 semester hours, an Associates Degree or have a high school diploma or equivalent and have passed the paraeducator exam and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire. New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE: It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.) Step 0: $15.98 Step 10: $19.67 Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks.
