Computer Skills: Standard computer skills required; generating spreadsheets and developing templates for use by plant management and corporate FSQA, sales and operations.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills required, both written and verbal, demonstrating the proven ability to correspond with all levels - line team members to corporate management.

POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - Maintenance Generalist - Full-Time - Kansas City, KS
These positions work 12-hour shifts; 6 am-6 pm OR 6 pm - 6 am.
Maintenance Pay range - $26.20 to $37.45/HR (Pay commensurate with experience)
The Maintenance Technician safely operates and performs a variety of maintenance activities including corrective maintenance (CM), preventative maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance (PdM) for various computer/PLC-controlled production equipment including but not limited to Scales, Dumpers, Mixers, Cookers, Chillers, Slicers, Tray Formers, Case Formers, Conveyors, Robots, Palletizers, Pallet Wrappers and ancillary compressed air, water, steam, gas, electrical, pumping and controls systems. Must safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment and effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (
Include, but are not limited to, the following)
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance plans and activities safely, properly, and timely while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. Assist in training of other plant personnel.
Utilize the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to assist in the development and the execution and follow-up on maintenance activities including but not limited to inspections, calibrations, repairs, and rebuilds.
Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
Use and maintain all tools properly.
With assistance develop the ability to provide corrective actions to all levels of equipment/system failures utilizing root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques.
With assistance demonstrate ability to utilize advanced maintenance techniques and tools such as thermo-graphic, ultrasonic, and vibration analysis to assess the health of production equipment and predict failures before they occur.
Repair, modification and improvement of assigned production equipment with precision maintenance techniques as necessary.
Participate on the Kansas City TPM Project teams as needed.
Identify and/or correct potentially hazardous conditions.
Ability to safely operate a forklift.
Safely perform work, including adherence to Tyson Brands policies such as lock-out-tag-out (LOTO), hot work permit and confined space entry.
Works closely with Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Planners to develop opportunities for continuous improvement.
Assist in the development of individual performance objectives.
Work cooperatively in a maintenance culture that is focused on continuous improvement (LEAN), positive morale, and exceptional levels of customer service.
Understand and comply with all applicable Tyson Brands and governing agency policies by which we manage our business.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
