The BCBA position will be held by an individual who has the training, education, and/or experience necessary to serve as a Qualified Autism Service Professional. This position will provide clinical supervision as well as oversight of the programs being implemented by the Supervisor/BCaBA and Behavior Interventionists. *Essential Job Functions / Key Performance Areas*
To perform this job successfully, the BCBA must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
* Designing, developing, and implementing a wide range of ABA programs for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or delays.
* Collaborating with families and other professionals to tailor ABA programs to each client's specific needs.
* Directly delivering individual and group learning experiences to assist each client served in obtaining his/her treatment goals and objectives.
* Meet with, train, and supervise mid-level supervisors /BCaBA and direct care staff (Behavior Interventionists) to provide guidance and review progress on goals, determine the effectiveness of intervention strategies, and consult about the overall implementation of the treatment plan.
* Conduct assessments, write treatment goals, analyze data and write progress reports, under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director.
* Conduct comprehensive Functional Behavior Assessments utilizing standardized assessment tools including the VB-MAPP, ABBLS-R, Vineland-III, etc., under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Director.
* Develop and oversee the implementation of behavioral plans for children.
* Assist in the development of adaptive skills for the individual to take a more positive role in the school, home & community setting.
* Provide prescribed behavioral consultation to the family and/or school.
* Supervise ABA programs to assist clients learn a variety of skills related to cooperation with daily routines and demands, coping with stress, play and social interactions, functional communication, attending to tasks, safety awareness, and self-help.
* Empower parents, caregivers and other support staff to influence clients within their natural routines so they can be more successful, independent, and self-empowered.
* Establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships with clients, all family members and any other staff persons supporting the client's individualized needs.
* Define target behaviors and write treatment goals while coordinating evidence-based programs, reinforcement, antecedent management strategies, protocols, interventions, etc.
* Model for and teach support staff how to implement intervention strategies and protocols.
* Set up and maintain ABA session schedules for support staff and clients and manage planned and unplanned adjustments or cancelations.
* Meet with families/caregivers in-clinic OR via telehealth on a weekly basis to review progress on goals, determine the effectiveness of intervention strategies, and consult about the overall implementation of the treatment plan.

Provides risk management orientation and education to Kaweah Health staff:
Develops appropriate risk management orientation materials for new clinical staff in collaboration with the RM Director and the Clinical Education Director.
Presents the RM orientation for new staff during the Patient Care orientation segment.
Collaborates with the RM Director in developing and presenting risk management orientation materials for all new Kaweah Health staff and new managers.

Coordinates DHS visits and reporting activities:
Maintains current DHS filing system, appropriately labeled, easily retrievable, and ensures purging and storage of files per RM Department policy. Ensures appropriate follow-up actions and monitoring activities are completed, and all documentation is included in the DHS file. Meets weekly with the PI Director, PI staff, RM Director to review high severity occurrences.
Identifies trends in the RM data from the Occurrence Reporting database which require process improvements, and communicates to the PI staff and appropriate Kaweah Health Director as applicable.

Assists the RM Director in Kaweah Health wide risk management and prevention activities:
On direction of the RM Director, establishes a regular monthly schedule to visit all Kaweah Health campuses and units/departments to evaluate their clinical risk issues and risk prevention activities.
Provides a written monthly report of those visits to the RM Director that identifies areas visited, what was evaluated, results of the evaluation with special note of any areas of concern for risk, and any recommendations for improvements.

Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner. Checks-in patients, verifies and updates necessary information in the medical record or computer system. Ensures proper client intake at front desk. May be required to research information needed to complete billing process. May be assigned to key charge information into computer systems for billing purposes. May determine client payment status, i.e., Medi-Cal, Insurance, Cash, etc. When necessary makes referral to benefit counselor. May collect copays, deductibles, etc. Provides receipts as required. May be assigned to complete charge postings. May obtain, maintain and file medical record, coordinate lab work, physicians reports, x-rays, etc. Distributes medical reports as assigned. May enter appropriate information into medical record, adhering to medical record guidelines. May ensures that all documents have been reviewed and filed in medical record according to procedure. Complies with confidentiality policies.
URGENT CARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR: Participates in the initial and ongoing assessment of the patient. Takes initial and serial vital signs as required. Properly attaches cardiac monitor and records rhythm strip as directed. Applies the SaO2 sensor as directed. Reports pertinent findings or changes in patient condition to licensed personnel. Accurately enters vital signs into patient management computer system. Transports patients during the admission and discharge process using the appropriate mode as indicated based on the patient complaint or condition. Performs 12 Lead Electrocardiograms as directed by provider or designee. Performs phlebotomies for the purpose of obtaining specimens for diagnostic evaluation. Following procedure, prepares wounds and lacerations for closure. Correctly sets up exam room for pelvic exam. When requested, assists physicians or midlevel providers with exam and specimen collection. Prepares and administers medications as directed by physician. Enters orders into electronic medical record as directed by physician.
SEQUOIA INTEGRATED HEALTH ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR: Assists with delivery and administration of medications per provider direction. Calls in prescription refills as directed. Applies simple dressings as directed. Assists practitioner with more complex dressings or other treatments. Completes well-being checks per phone as directed by providers. Relays pertinent information between physicians and other team members. Reports any abnormal conditions or results of testing to MD or mid-level practitioner in a timely manner.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area. Knowledgeable of growth and development for all patient/family cultural, linguistic, spiritual, gender, and age specific needs. Able to effectively communicate and care for patient and family as reflected in the Plan for Provision of Care.

What You'll Be Doing:
As a Behavior Technician, you will provide direct, 1:1 behavioral support to children with autism or other disabilities in their homes. Your role will involve implementing individualized behavioral programs, collecting data on client progress, and working closely with families to ensure a positive and supportive environment. This is a fantastic entry-level position for anyone interested in psychology, education, social work, therapy, or special education. You'll be making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 1:1 behavior programs in clients' homes (training provided)
Engage with children in a fun and energetic way to support learning and development
Collect accurate data on client progress
Collaborate with families to provide a safe, supportive environment
Participate in team meetings and receive ongoing training and mentorship
Qualifications:
Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients
Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is a plus, but not required
Behavioral knowledge/experience is preferred, but not necessary
RBT certification is a plus, but we will cover the cost of obtaining it!
Spanish-speaking is a plus
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
High school diploma or equivalent required
Requirements:
Availability to work a consistent schedule (afternoons/evenings with some weekend/morning availability)
Eligibility to work in the U.S.
Must have reliable transportation, valid auto insurance, and driver's license
Able to pass a Live Scan FBI & DOJ Clearance
Able to obtain a Physical (past year) and TB Test (past 90 days)
Able to submit a CPR/First Aid Certificate
