The Opportunity
Infrastructure Advisory Pursuit Managers play a critical role in the management (preparation, assembly, review, and submittal) of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP). In this role, you will work with leaders across Infrastructure Advisory and Black & Veatch to drive accelerated new business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for management (preparation, assembly, review, and submittal) of responses to Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with governance. Assigned proposals may range from small to medium size / moderate complexity projects across consulting, engineering, project management, and asset lifecycle services.
This professional interfaces directly with and provides support to the sales manager, solution sales director, integrated solution strategists, the project director, the project manager to set the proposal execution strategy / schedule, assemble proposal response team, and develop value proposition / win strategies.
Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinate the development of pursuit execution plans and division of responsibilities.
Monitors and manages pursuit team expenditures to align with approved budgets.
Lead facilitation of legal, insurance, finance, tax, treasury, and security reviews.
Lead coordination and facilitation of pursuit bid/no-bid and bid approval steps in accordance with governance requirements.
Assist in continuous improvement of pursuit governance processes, procedures and tooling.

This position requires experience performing environmental site assessments, logging of soil borings, subsurface soil sampling, installation and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells, data validation and statistical analysis of soil and groundwater data, authoring reports and permit documents, providing remedial construction site oversight and materials management support, project task management, and other activities, as required. Experience with emerging contaminants of concern including PFAS and experience investigating coal combustion residuals (CCR) is strongly preferred. This individual will enhance our existing remediation and environmental engineering presence in the region working closely with clients across multiple markets, including electrical utilities, solid waste, mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, renewable energy, and others.
The Staff Geologist will work within our region's Environmental Engineering and Remediation Departments and collaborate broadly to support our Environmental Services global practice and will generally be responsible for the following:
+ Prepare environmental investigation work plans, reports, feasibility studies, etc.
+ Prepare Phase I environmental site assessments
+ Execute and guide environmental site assessments, including subsurface soil and low-flow groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, soil characterization and logging, etc.
+ Perform project and task management duties on remediation projects.
+ Subcontractor contracting, scheduling, and management of field activities.
+ Work closely with project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects within scope, budget and schedule.
+ Other duties, as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Geology or closely related field from an accredited program.
+ Minimum of 4 years of related professional experience completing environmental investigations, analyzing and summarizing investigation data, preparing environmental reports, etc.
+ Experience assisting with or conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II environmental site investigations
+ Demonstrated aptitude performing environmental field monitoring activities, including collection of soil and groundwater samples, logging soil borings, installing and developing groundwater monitoring wells, data analysis, and authoring reports

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. As the **Solar Production Estimate Subject Matter Expert,** you will have the opportunity tocontribute to technical due diligence engagements for multiple types of assets, including solar and battery energy storage renewable energy projects on behalf of lenders and investors; serving in a supporting role to a multi-disciplinary team of Independent Engineering and Technical Due Diligence consultants.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the overall capture and proposal development process from Pre-Proposal through Post Proposal phases
* Lead proposals in multiple roles (e.g. capture manager, lead proposal manager, volume lead, section author)
* Interpret requirements of Federal Government solicitations (e.g., SF330s, RFPs, RFTOPs, TORPs, RFIs) and guide teams in defining compliant, compelling, and responsive proposal narratives to meet all requirements and align with BV's win strategy
* Develop/produce schedules, outlines, writing templates, compliance matrices, and presentations for the proposal team
* Lead and/or participate in the development of compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging for the proposal based on analysis of market intelligence and competitors
* Organize and facilitate proposal meetings including kick-off and status meetings; brainstorming, solution design and storyboarding sessions; and color team reviews of the technical volume(s)
* Ensure win strategy, technical solution, win themes, discriminators, compliance, and understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent throughout the final proposal, making ongoing recommendations throughout the development process to ensure compliance and increase proposal scorability
* Serve as lead proposal section writer (e.g., Management, Technical, Capabilities, Past Performance, Staffing) authoring original content using interview and research techniques, if required
* Lead and/or oversee production (edit, compilation, quality control) and submission of final proposals
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience leading proposal efforts for contracts valued $75M+ and IDIQ/GWACs over $250M
* Strong strategic-thinking and problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, research, evaluate, resolve)
* Demonstrated experience in proposal writing in response to all solicitation sections (e.g., Management, Technical, Staffing)
* Ability to create original content using interview and research techniques
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint, and Adobe CS
* Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical or business field
* 20+ years of related experience including 10+ years of experience Federal government capture and proposal management, volume lead, support, and/or writing experience
* Successful track record of leading development of high-quality, high-scoring proposals
* Excellent organizational and communications skills (written, verbal, client service)
* Understanding of, and experience with, the Federal procurement process and regulations (e.g., FAR);
* Ability to work to meet deadlines (nights, weekends, and holidays possible)
* Ability to manage geographically disparate teams and travel for specific opportunities, as required (less than 10%)
* 20+ years of capture and proposal experience
Assigned to projects for U.S. Government Agency/Department clients. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
* 12+ years of pursuit coordination, business development, or strategy experience

Description Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional with a passion for sustainability and a proven track record managing LEED and other certification processes. This role will guide project teams across design and construction phases, providing expertise in sustainable strategies, certification documentation, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage and coordinate third-party certifications and other sustainable design elements from project inception through construction completion.
+ Review building drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with sustainability goals.
+ Provide sustainability expertise and guidance to design, engineering, and construction teams.
+ Track, document, and submit design and construction documentation for LEED and other certification programs (e.g., Envision, WELL, Living Building Challenge).
+ Provide LEED construction administration management including education on LEED requirements for construction teams, coordination of submittal reviews, regular meetings with construction staff, and final QC and documentation of LEED construction activities.
+ Coordinate task management and delegation among support staff.
+ Provide quality control for project documentation executed by support staff.
+ Stay current on evolving green building standards, materials, and technologies, and share knowledge with project teams.
+ Meet with clients and stakeholders to present sustainability strategies and support project goals.
+ Support compliance with state and local sustainability regulations.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Sustainability or related field. and 4 years related professional experience (with at least 3 years of experience in LEED project management across both design and construction is preferred).
+ LEED Accreditation highly preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
+ Experience coordinating with multiple technical disciplines.
+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to clients and groups and communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences.
+ A strong understanding of environment/sustainable business practices, regulatory/statutory dynamics, and current trends in the profession.
+ Expert analytical, problem-solving skills and organizational skills with attention to detail.
+ Strong ability to apply intensive and diversified principles and practices to broad assignments and devise new approaches to problems encountered.
+ Energy modeling and/or daylight modeling preferred.
+ Experience with additional certifications (Envision, WELL, Fitwel, Living Building Challenged) preferred.

Compensation
$87,000.00-145,000.00 Yearly
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.

**Description** The Assistant Fire Protection Engineer will assist in the design of multi-discipline projects and the preparation of comprehensive fire protection packages including fire suppression, fire alarm, smoke management and life-safety systems. This position will work on various projects with a diverse portfolio of project types and clients.
+ Assist in the design, specification, and multi-discipline coordination of the following fire protection systems: Wet-pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, and foam/water fire suppression systems. Fire water supply infrastructure including fire water storage tanks, fire pumps, underground and aboveground distribution piping and associated appurtenances. Outdoor fire suppression systems including monitors, spray systems, and exposure protection systems. Addressable and non-addressable voice evacuation fire alarm systems including initiation devices, supervision devices, and audible and visual notification appliances. Releasing systems for pre-action, foam/water, and clean agent systems.
+ Assist in performing and evaluating fire protection calculations including the hydraulic analysis of fire water supply and demand, battery calculations, and voltage drop calculations.
+ Assist in evaluating building and life safety requirements including building area and height limitations, building construction types, fire resistive assemblies and opening protections, occupancy classifications, hazards, building egress, and active and passive smoke management systems.
+ Assist in the construction administration process including coordination with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, the review of contractor shop drawings and calculations, field inspections, and testing of fire protection systems.
+ Assist in performing site evaluations and documenting existing fire protection systems.
+ Assist in the preparation and evaluation of project budgets and cost estimates.
+ Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
+ Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program required or;

+ Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
+ Basic knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.
+ Basic knowledge of building codes, fire codes, NFPA standards, FM Global datasheets, military standards, and refinery/industrial API guidelines a plus.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment, and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
