We're looking for a regional practice builder who can lead, develop and operate a team of architects and engineers focused on Mission Critical, Aerospace and Industrial markets in the southwest. What you will do + Lead the Southwest Region's Global Facilities (GFS) practice. + Responsible for conducting performance evaluation for selected departments or direct reports.
+ Responsible for interpreting policies, purposes and goals of the organization to Department Managers.
+ Plans, coordinates, communicates and facilitates activities of several disciplines on projects of all sizes from conception through completion.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor Degree in engineering, business or related degree from an accredited program and 10 years relevant consulting experience, preferably in the consulting engineering industry or project management. Required

This role will contribute directly to project execution by performing advanced transmission system studies and supporting client decision-making with high-quality technical and economic analysis.
What You'll Do
+ Perform a broad range of studies and consulting services such as power flow, transient stability, transfer capability, short-circuit, voltage analysis, harmonics analysis, electromagnetic, reliability, and congestion management scenarios.
+ Evaluate regulatory conditions and risks by applying NERC, FERC, and regional requirements, production costing, risk assessment, TPL compliance, and generator interconnection principles.
+ Independently execute transmission system planning studies using industry-standard software such as PSS/E, PSLF, EMTP/ATP, PSCAD, SKM, ETAP, and Promod.

Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program or related degree and 3 years of related experience or

+ Assist with or lead the business process design activities to drive out the complete application requirements: functional, quality, integration, and security.
+ Work with the application designer to create a high-level design of an end-to-end integration solution that provides a common structure for mapping the data between the applications.

+ Validate that the application requirements meet overall business process needs, are within the project scope, and are internally consistent.
+ Validate that the integration solution and integration architecture designs utilize the integration architecture components appropriately.
+ Lead or assist with completing high-level project communications and status reporting to the supporting executive team.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Applicable work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
+ Minimum 7 years of experience providing enterprise or operations architecture strategies, enterprise or operations integration solutions, and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.
+ Preferred: 5 years working in the Electric Utility Industry or equivalent.
+ Excellent enterprise architecture and integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, communications, and other architectural methods and practices.
+ Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation projects using industry enterprise architecture strategy solutions and standard industry technologies.
+ Experience with electric utility clients implementing and integrating operational systems such as OMS, DMS, ADMS, AMI, Distribution Automation, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) is preferred.
+ Strong ability to influence or lead project execution.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with leading-edge applications, operations technology, and solutions utilizing various industry standard tools.
+ Experience with a variety of project execution methodologies, including but not limited to Waterfall and Agile.
+ Experience developing executive-level technology assessments, roadmap strategies focusing on enterprise, and operational technologies for clients in the utilities industry.

Our POWER team is seeking a **Full Time Electrical Engineering (SAS) Intern - Summer 2026** to work out of our **Phoenix, AZ** office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities and lifelong career connections.
This internship is anticipated to take place during the Summer 2026 semester. The program is anticipated to take place from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. The individual start date is flexible.
**Your Impact**
+ Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
+ Learn basic principles of Electrical Engineering.
+ Assist with electrical studies and troubleshooting SCADA systems for utility and industrial/commercial clients
+ Work on power systems including generation facilities, substations, transmission, and distribution systems
+ Participate in protective relaying tasks such as short circuit analysis, relay settings, and NERC compliance using specialized software
+ Support power system planning studies, including power flow, stability analysis, and automation of simulations
+ Contribute to infrastructure design studies like substation grounding, insulation coordination, and power quality analysis
+ Design and configure network and communication paths for SCADA systems, and troubleshoot communication systems on site
+ Develop and implement logic and control schemes for power system equipment, including on-site testing and commissioning
+ Prepare data acquisition lists, assign routing info, develop HMI screens, and commission data transfer schemes using various software
+ Complete training on assigned tasks.

+ Must be 18 or older.
+ Demonstrated interest in Electrical Engineering, consulting engineering, electric utility industry, or related field, and have a strong desire to advance skills related to WSP's work and projects.
+ Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
+ Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to executive projects.
+ Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
