Our Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.

Global Facilities
The Global Facilities group is responsible for the planning and design of manufacturing facilities, administrative buildings, district energy systems, data centers, and mission-critical facilities. They work in a variety of industries including food and beverage, consumer products, healthcare, commercial, life sciences, pharmaceutical, and aerospace manufacturing industries.
**Qualifications**
+ Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program is required.
+ Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
+ Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
+ Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
+ Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary objective for the Architect / Designer is to build and support established Design initiatives leveraged by the Design Lead or Design Manager for both in the office and field, for CDCC business units. Provide Architectural / Design leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle from design & construction to facilities management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide Architectural Design leadership and project management for Design projects.
Provide rendered images /videos, construction document production (drawings + specifications) as well as marketing material for project pursuits.
Provide and deliver required deliverables for construction document milestones.
Establish drafting templates and libraries for Design workflows.
Support 5D / Model Based Estimating collaboration with Preconstruction.
Assist in Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) assignments, as required.
Experience in construction means and methods especially in the application of technology on a range of project size and complexity.
Demonstrated abilities and relative experience in preconstruction, field management and construction processes.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The majority of work is in an office setting, with intermittent sitting, standing, and walking.
Periodic construction site visits to gather project data and information.
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
May require short periods of travel (2-5 days)
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education: bachelor's in architecture, or related design field
Experience: 5+ years relevant architectural design experience
Skills & Knowledge: Revit, BIM Collaborate Pro / BIM360, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Lumion, preparation of CSI specifications, submittal review.
License: R.A. in Georgia, preferred
