Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver school-based, individualized counseling aligned with each student's treatment goals
* Build and manage a therapeutic caseload in accordance with supervision standards

The CM Services reports through the division of Patient Care Services lead by the Chief Nursing Executive, Vice President of Patient Care Services. The CM Service is comprised of three departments: Case Management, Utilization Management, and Social Work. Through the Triad Model of Care Delivery, the objectives of the CM Services are for all patients to have access to healthcare through the BJH continuum and appropriate, safe discharge plans. The SW department is open 24 hours/day while the CM department is open 20 hours/day. Both departments provide coverage throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department, Outpatient Clinics, Registration sites, and Health Information Management. The Service employs registered nurses, social workers, a license practical nurse, a customer service representative, and administrative assistants.

DESCRIPTION This position involves very responsible clinical counseling or social work performed by a highly skilled clinician. The employee is expected to provide highly skilled therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and families to address difficult or complex problems requiring behavioral health intervention. Work involves direct care services that includes intake, screening, assessment, diagnosis, developing treatment/rehabilitation plans, conducting individual and group counseling and applying various therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the School Based Clinician will provide in classroom observation of students, provide feedback to teachers and school administrators as needed, provide in classroom intervention, participate in parent teacher conferences and participate in development of individualized education plans. The employee exercises considerable professional initiative and judgment. Work is under the general review of an administrative superior, leaving considerable latitude for independent judgment and discretion in accordance with agency policies. Provisionally licensed professionals receive professional clinical supervision from a licensed professional counselor or licensed clinical social worker. EXAMPLES OF WORK: Work may include but is not limited to the following examples:
Provides culturally sensitive, professional therapeutic services in accordance with professional licensing standards and agency policies.

Crisis Intervention Services Clinician School Based

DESCRIPTION To provide crisis intervention, crisis stabilization, brief intervention, linkage to community resources, and screening services in homes, school based and community settings to individuals and groups experiencing behavioral health problems and to manage requests for professional services. The School Based CISC will be responsible to respond to calls from schools and other child/family serving agencies. Work hours may need to be flexible to accommodate school needs. The School Based CISC will be responsible to assess for suicidal/homicidal ideation, provide brief intervention, crisis intervention, and stabilization. Partnering with children/youth, families, and school staff to resolve crises and divert from hospitalization will be a primary responsibility. Referral to necessary community resources, with follow up to ensure completion of referral, will be necessary. The School Based CISC will also need to partner successfully with School Resource Officers, teachers, families, and other community stakeholders. Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, along with the ability to diagnose these conditions, and provide brief intervention for such is a requirement. The School Based CISC will ordinarily work a traditional work schedule of 40 hours per week. The position will also assist with on call coverage as needed for the agency for traditional ACI role. EXAMPLES OF WORK: Work may include but is not limited to the following examples:
