Key Responsibilities: * Examine, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with mental health and/or addiction medicine concerns. * Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations and medication management services. * Participate in emergency services to offer rapid aid during emotional crises. * Ensure comprehensive follow-up care for all clients. * Join client staffing meetings to identify problems and establish treatment goals. * Attend required meetings, trainings, and staff development activities. * Support management needs, such as data collection and program evaluation. * Engage in public and community behavioral health education initiatives. * Complete psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-up appointments in a timely manner. * Offer medical/psychiatric consultation to internal staff and external entities as requested. * Collaborate and provide support to assigned Nurse Practitioners, fellows, residents, and students. Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: * Medical degree from an accredited institution. * Completion of a residency program in psychiatry. * Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry. * Valid medical license to practice in the applicable state/province. Additional Qualifications: * Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect. * Valid driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record. * Must not be under any formal disciplinary action by state board(s). Physical Requirements: * The role requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods. * Manual dexterity is needed to use hands and fingers for writing, typing, and manipulating controls. * Must be able to reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. * Occasionally, the employee may need to walk or run up and down stairs during crises or emergencies. * The work environment can be stressful and fast-paced.
