This role ensures consistency, accuracy, and compliance in administrative operations, and customer service. The Administrative Manager partners with Corporate Accounting, Division Management, and Operations teams to maintain standardized practices, optimize workflows, and support divisional and regional objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Administrative Oversight & Leadership • Oversee and manage administrative functions at the MRFTS divisions. • Implement standardized administrative policies, procedures, and processes. • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting, finance, and audit standards. • Provide training, perform audits, and ensure adherence to Burrtec standards. • Lead administrative onboarding, training, and continuous education programs for administrative and scale house personnel. Systems, Processes & Efficiency • Assist with the evaluation of processes to improve accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity. • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and IT to integrate administrative functions with enterprise systems (e.g., ADP, scale house software, purchasing workflows). • Monitor KPIs related to administrative performance, customer billing accuracy, and compliance deadlines. • Support implementation of new technology platforms or system upgrades within the MRFTS division. Financial & Compliance Support • Ensure all required administrative reports, reconciliations, and records are accurate and submitted timely. • Coordinate with division and corporate teams to support audits, financial reviews, and operational reporting. • Assist with budget tracking, cost allocation, and performance analysis for administrative functions. • Enforce adherence to company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements. Customer & Team Relations • Lead division team in resolving customer inquiries or billing concerns. • Serve as a liaison between administrative staff, scale house operators, and management. • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture within the administrative team. • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to administrative team members. Other Duties • Prepare reports, conduct analysis, and recommend process improvements. • Participate in division meetings and strategic planning sessions. • Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field required. • Minimum 5 years of administrative management experience. • Experience in waste management, logistics, or industrial operations is strongly preferred. • Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and managing cross-functional projects. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and related business systems. • Deep understanding of administrative and accounting principles. • Valid California Driver's License required. • Must be able to work extended hours as necessary to meet project deadlines or operational needs. The Safety Trainer will report directly to the Safety Manager. The Safety Trainer will establish and promote a safe, secure, accident-free and healthy work environment for all Athens Services personnel by working with Class A, B, & C drivers towards the elimination of on-the-job incidents, injuries, accidents, property damage and environmental accidents. The Safety Trainer will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and enforcement of all training requirements in accordance with Company policies, procedures, operating standards, state and federal laws/regulations, and industry standards/requirements. Additionally, the Safety Trainer assists the operations and its management team to oversee the daily operations of the collection routes to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficiency are followed. Train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel and recommend removal of applicants from the training program, as appropriate. Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws. Providing hands on-coaching on defensive driving, emergency reporting and response, hours of service, G.O.A.L. and Smith System. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report). Maintains training documentation and records of all driver's training. Assist in communicating safety expectations. Attend driver safety /occupational health and safety meetings and re-enforce agenda items and follow up actions. Assist supervisors with any necessary paperwork and is responsible for the collection routes during supervisor's absence. Assists with preparation of daily routes, route changes, vehicle replacements, dispatch duties and other work assigned. Ensure efficient and excellent customer service is provided to all customers. The Driver is responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty truck to perform assigned duties on container delivery, recycling, residential, commercial, or industrial (roll-off) routes. This position is responsible for efficiently servicing assigned customers, while complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and with Company policies. Operates vehicle in accordance with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA)/Department of Transportation (DOT) requires as well as all local, state and federal requirements. Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle utilizing standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR). Responsible for reporting any vehicle deficiencies prior to and after each route day. We have the following position at our Superior Sanitation Bakersfield, CA Hauling division: Fleet Maintenance Supervisor The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor oversees and maintains an effective fleet maintenance program to ensure that fleet vehicles are maintained in an effective and safety conscious manner. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will be able to perform duties in a timely manner and advise leadership of any potential issues that could affect the overall performance and longevity of the fleet POSITION SUMMARY: The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor oversees and maintains an effective fleet maintenance program to ensure that fleet vehicles are maintained in an effective and safety conscious manner. The Fleet Maintenance Supervisor will be able to perform duties in a timely manner and advise leadership of any potential issues that could affect the overall performance and longevity of the fleet. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide daily guidance and support to on-site technicians to ensure all maintenance work is performed in a safe, efficient and timely manner Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, major repair of fleet vehicles and monthly PM compliance (in multiple yards when required) Ensure shop or facility is clean and kept in a safe, professional working manner Plan and schedule team workloads based on preventative maintenance tasks, utilizing budget and personnel Manage and maintain company RTA maintenance program, work order data and recurring preventative maintenance schedules Ensure vehicle documentation (i.e., registration, insurance, etc.) is current and kept in vehicle as required. (LOTO, Hot Works, Fall Protection etc.) Report any in yard(s) spills, falls, incidents to Division Manager as required Coordinate and direct the activities of all shop personnel including mechanics and welders Assign tasks for the mechanical repair of heavy duty refuse trucks Maintain parts inventory and container tracking Monitor maintenance work flow and ensures tasks are completed in a timely manner and to company standards Administer DOT and preventative maintenance programs while ensuring shop personnel is following safe work practices Process employee requests including vacation, PTO's etc. and assists with the scheduling of time off Coach and develop employees by continuously communicating with team members and providing guidance for improvement and recognition of efforts Handle and resolve employee relations issues and incorporates consistent and timely disciplinary standards, preparation, and documentation of corrective action notices Follow and administer company safety programs by conducting monthly safety meetings, facility inspections and ensuring compliance to all OSHA and DOT regulations as well as SWPPP compliance Investigate and complete reports for work related injuries and/or vehicle accidents/incidents and submits paperwork to appropriate insurance carriers in a prompt manner Train new shop personnel on company training program and proper use of assigned equipment. Responsible for submitting incident alert emails on same day of occurrence Responsible for answering action item related emails in prompt manner QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a fleet repair facility and heavy-duty Mechanics as well as thorough knowledge of HD engines, transmissions and mechanical repairs. A valid California Driver's license, required Commercial Driver's license preferred ASE certification for alternative fuels is a plus COMPETENCIES: Strong organizational skills and ability to motivate large groups Good decision making, problem solving and communication skills Knowledge with DOT and OSHA regulations PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: The job involves outdoor work and exposure to various weather conditions. We have the following position at the Santa Clarita Hauling division: DISPATCHER Responds to incoming radio calls made by drivers and dispatches calls through proper channels. SALARY RANGE: $24.30/hour - $25.80/hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintain communication with the Drivers in the field to ensure quality customer service. Communicate with the Route Supervisor regarding Driver or Dispatch problems. Assure that all daily activities and assignments are completed on a timely and or scheduled basis. Initiate outbound calls to customers while drivers are on-site/location, resolving pick-up and other issues. Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they result in service issues. Ensure same-day service on missed pick-ups by coordinating driver movement in the field. Assist in determining the daily level of driver staffing to provide the best mix of responsiveness and productivity. Identify and plan deployment for increases/decreases in route volumes, shifting resources in response to seasonal and other fluctuations. Record and document information and distribute it to appropriate departments, including route information, driver productivity information, sales and service issues and opportunities, safety issues, and problem stops. Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of pick-up, container delivery, service, and driver records. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to effectively interface with drives and customers. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and make quick decisions under pressure.
