Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives CBU bus/s for the purpose of transporting passengers over scheduled routes to and from CBU in a safe and timely manner. Maintain a variety of records: driving time, purpose of trip, mileage, and vehicle maintenance. Knowledge and comply with traffic and highway safety rules and regulations. Clean the bus as scheduled and/or required. Ensure the bus is safely and securely stored. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safe operating condition of the vehicle and complying with mandated guidelines. Maintains and keeps log book or Electronic Logging Device accurate and complete for CHP inspection. Reports defects or maintenance problems with vehicle to supervisor. Establish and ensure a safe environment for student-athletes or other passengers. Understand and agree to abide by the mission of CBU and the CBU Athletics Department. Job Description Substitute bus driver for routes and activities. Would be subbing in the absence of a regular route driver or as an activity bus driver for out of town activities. Must have a CDL with bus driver/passenger endorsement or be eligible to qualify for a CDL for passenger buses.

The Gurney Van Driver will operate a gurney van equipped to provide nonemergency transport of mobility- impaired individuals to and from hospitals, convalescent facilities, private homes, dialysis units, doctor's offices, rehabilitation centers, etc. in a safe and timely manner. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Picks up patients at home or other facility. Provides the assistance required to safely board patients and caregivers. • Operates Stryker gurney as needed for safe and comfortable patient transportation. • On arrival at medical facility, assists patients in exiting the van and reaching the proper offices or treatment areas. • Checks the van to ensure that no personal items are left behind. • Provides first-aid or CPR if required during patient transport. Immediately notifies emergency staff and dispatcher if skilled assistance is required. • Completes reports at the end of a shift. • Immediately reports traffic accidents to dispatcher, requesting police or ambulance service as needed.
