Work Schedule: Morning and afternoon route, potential for additional driving during athletic events or field trips
FLSA status: Part-time hourly, 30 hours per week
Position Summary
The position of bus driver is one where safety and timeliness is vital to the success of the driver. The bus driver is responsible for obeying all traffic rules and regulations while transporting our student to/from school, events, or field trips. The ideal candidate will possess a Commercial Driver's License in good standing.
Essential Functions
Follow planned bus routes, making scheduled stops to pick up and/or drop off students
Visually inspect bus before beginning daily route and at the conclusion of daily route
Reporting any bus and/or student issues to Transportation leadership
Compliance with any required drug testing/physical examinations in accordance with SCDOT
Specific Job Skills
Ability to operate school bus safely
Ability to follow safety and traffic laws including speed limits
Ability to maintain positive attitude and have professional interactions with students and parents during pick up and drop off
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1-year experience school bus driving experience preferred
Bus passenger (P) and School bus (S) endorsements preferred, or CDL without endorsements but a willingness to obtain endorsements
Working Conditions
Expansive school campus with 122+ acres, must be able to travel between buildings independently as needed and work on a school bus as a driver.
Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending may be required throughout the day at various intervals

Transport Driver II Job Responsibilities:
Drive tractor-trailer (tanker) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver asphalt products over short and long distances.
Use and/or operate equipment, including but not limited to: ladders, loading arms, control valves, metal hoses, landing gear, air lines, cords and wheel pins.
Maneuver truck into loading and unloading position, following signals from terminal operators as needed.
Drive truck to weigh station before and after product loading and along route to document weight.
Drive truck into position to load at filling rack.
Open valves or starts pumps to fill trailer.
Read gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
Record amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
Conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including driver logs.
Inspect truck before and after trips. Submits report indicating truck condition.
Read "Bill of Lading" to determine assignment.
Responsible for re-fueling truck, checking oil and all fluids.
Maintains truck interior.
Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to climb up and down tank ladder as needed.
Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles .
Well-groomed professional appearance.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement.
2-3 years of Class A CDL driving experience.

Position Summary
The position of bus driver is one where safety and timeliness is vital to the success of the driver. The bus driver is responsible for obeying all traffic rules and regulations while transporting our student to/from school, events, or field trips. The ideal candidate will possess a Commercial Driver's License in good standing.
Essential Functions
Follow planned bus routes, making scheduled stops to pick up and/or drop off students
Visually inspect bus before beginning daily route and at the conclusion of daily route
Reporting any bus and/or student issues to Transportation leadership
Compliance with any required drug testing/physical examinations in accordance with SCDOT
Specific Job Skills
Ability to operate school bus safely
Ability to follow safety and traffic laws including speed limits
Ability to maintain positive attitude and have professional interactions with students and parents during pick up and drop off

Record amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
Conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including driver logs.

Read "Bill of Lading" to determine assignment.
Responsible for re-fueling truck, checking oil and all fluids.
Maintains truck interior.
Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time in a variety of weather conditions.
Manual dexterity; ability to reach; able to bend and move with agility.
Ability to lift and move up to 50-70 lbs.
Able to climb up and down tank ladder as needed.
Able to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles .
