Transport only authorized students on assigned routes, to and from school, and/or on field trips, or to and from special events and follow Arizona Department of Childcare Licensing transportation requirements.
Comply with mandatory safety regulations by inspecting the bus before each operation for mechanical defects and notifying the proper authority of any mechanical failure. Note all discrepancies and/or malfunctions using the Vehicle Check List and Maintenance Log at the conclusion of each day.
Ensure bus cleanliness both inside and outside by following Riverside School District procedures. Check the bus after each run for lost items and/or damage.
Maintain discipline and supervision while transporting only authorized students, report undisciplined students to the proper authority and discharge students only at authorized stops.
Inform students about safety requirements.
Report verbally all accidents immediately and follow-up with a written report within 24 hours.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Bus Driver to join our team! The VCS Bus Driver interacts daily with children and safely transports students to and from campuses and designated locations. The VCS Bus Driver will assist the Business Services Manager and Principals in coordinating the daily bus transportation needs of the K-12 school for events, field trips, and other school activities with. He or she will make sure all VCS buses are in excellent mechanical condition, in compliance with all applicable laws, insurance, and the necessary records are maintained.
Role and Responsibilities:
Transport children and other passengers to and from school in the VCS Bus
Establishes annual transportation routes
Establishes/updates transportation policies and procedures as needed

Perform duties of the dispatcher for Empire's assigned work area. Use discretion and judgment to solve client disputes and dispatch system problems. Professionally assist clients to enhance a positive service image within the department. Determine shipment, delivery, and pickup priorities. Oversee scheduling transport shipments and meet delivery commitments. Assist in the most efficient use of drivers and equipment. Maintain cost control for overtime and expenses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee dispatching of Empire trucks locally, statewide, branch-store and/or nationally for assigned work area.
Assign tractors and trailers according to the type of load, point of origin, and destination.

Ensure the staff is on task with their duties. Oversee the expenses and recovery of the permits and escorts.

Job Summary:
