We are looking for full time and part time drivers in the Jacksonville area to pick up and deliver packages to residential and business addresses. You will be required to drive your own vehicle to complete the daily route and a mid-size to large-size vehicle is preferred. Drivers will be independent contractors. This position is a Monday through Friday shift with Saturday availability.
Drivers should be highly energetic, competent, and self-motivated individuals with a good sense of direction and excellent customer service skills. Punctuality, reliability, and delivery experience are required. This position will also require understanding and use of handheld devices to assist with each delivery and must own a working smartphone.
Applicants should be capable of lifting to fifty pounds without assistance. We prefer applicants with verifiable work history with FedEx, UPS, or other parcel delivery services but all applicants will be considered. Route length also varies, but you can expect your workday to be 7-10 hours on average.
Driver Requirements:
Must possess valid driver's license.
Minimum age: 21
Must have a reliable vehicle, some routes require a larger vehicle such as a cargo/sprinter, or a large SUV, and box truck.
No DUI/DWI within ten previous years
Pass a background verification

Required Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Drive a school bus route - picking up and dropping off student passengers at established stops on the route.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings.
Clean bus as necessary to maintain a professional appearance and positive company image.
As requested or desired to drive students on field trips, activity trips and charter runs to transport students and other passengers to and from their destinations.
Qualifications:
Must be fully licensed. Must hold a CDL Class A or B license and be fully endorsed with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements.
Must be 21 years or older
Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history
Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.

PART TIME Pay Rate: $23.27 per hour Under direct supervision, will drive buses up to 52 passenger capacity, stake and box trucks, vans, and other vehicles with our without airbrakes. Transporting passengers, military and other personnel throughout Kings Bay, other public roads and highways throughout southeast Georgia and north Florida. You must possess a valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL), class A or B, with passenger endorsement. You should be familiar with handheld radio communication and call signs. Will be responsible for maintaining a clean, fully operational vehicle at all times. Must perform Pre/Post Trip inspections, notating all safety and maintenance items appropriately. Must be able to accurately complete preventative and corrective maintenance records, ridership forms, SPA's and all other required paperwork. Must be comfortable completing regular training online, and reporting daily timecards on a company assigned URL. Most required paperwork can be handwritten, while other requirements are met by interfacing online. Familiarity and willingness to access online programs is a must in this position. A successful candidate will be flexible in accepting call-in work both scheduled and unscheduled (usually Monday-Friday. Though occasional weekend work will be required). The number of work hours varies, but expect between 10 to 32 hours per week, depending on the needs of the mission. May-August is the busy period, where drivers may work 40+ hours per week. Previous work experience on Kings Bay Naval Base is a plus.
