High School Diploma/GED.

JOB GOAL: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Obey all traffic laws and safety regulations for school buses.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Hold a valid Kansas Commercial Driver's License (C.D.L. B or A with S & P Endorsements) OR ability to attend training and obtain Kansas Commercial Driver's License
3. Thorough knowledge of traffic laws, bus regulations, district policies, rules, and transportation regulations.
4. Good driving skills.
5. No serious driving violations.
6. Ability to pass a bus driver physical examination.
7. Ability to pass a Medic First Aid Course.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. The amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
2. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
3. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
