BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Bus Driver Supervisor, operate a school bus over designated routes in transporting regular and special education students to and from school, activities and events; provide safe and efficient transportation for District students to and from school, special events and field trips; perform daily inspections and maintenance of vehicle; assist in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally handicapped students as necessary. WORKING HOURS: Substitute Bus Drivers work on call as needed, generally with short notice, or on short term assignments. The Colton Joint Unified School District includes schools in Colton, Bloomington, Grand Terrace and the Southridge area of Fontana. The number of hours per day will vary with each assignment. There are no guaranteed number of hours, no guarantee of a permanent position and no benefits available for hourly employees.
