Job Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the job is to gain experience in the corrugated industry to become a Plant Accountant or Plant Controller at a PCA location. In this position, you will work closely with the Area Controller and local Plant Controllers, proactively providing information that will help the plant increase revenue and improve profitability as well as responding to specific requests from the management team. Specific tasks may include but are not limited to monthly analysis and reporting of financial performance, understanding and communicating revenue details, product and customer profitability reporting, financial analysis of products, customers and business models with pricing and cost data, accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month end close. Qualifications: BS degree in accounting required. 1-5 years of experience. Strong analytical, communication, and advocacy skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong attention to detail. Broad understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices. Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Some travel to other PCA locations will be required. At times this may be up to 25%-40% Willingness to relocate to other locations, for future promotion opportunities. Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing experience is a plus.
