What Does A Business Continuity Planning Director Do At Masonite

* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee development and execution of Annual Operating Review (AOP), consolidated quarterly forecasts, and monthly financial reporting to senior management.
* Assist finance and cross-functional management with monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis of the P&L, inventory, capital, head count, and cash flow related to actual, forecast, and AOP results.
* Responsible for analyzing and track current and forecasted capital expenditures.
* Use payback, NPV, and IRR analysis to make recommendations to senior management for capital budgeting and project approvals; develop a robust process to reduce approval cycle time.
* Develop financial presentations and support related to monthly executive financial reviews, summary of quarterly results, board documents, AOP/ forecast results, and business development initiatives.
* Oversee ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and support corporate initiatives as assigned by CFO, including but not limited to strategic planning, M&A related analysis, macroeconomic modeling, etc.
* Work with Business Unit Finance Leaders to strengthen the FP&A discipline within the business units, and lead the FP&A Leadership Team to adopt common process and policies across the enterprise.
* Lead the Financial Systems Group to ensure best-in-class financial consolidation and analytical tools are properly configured and adopted across the enterprise to streamline budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
* KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Management Interface
* Lead overall AOP process and quarterly forecast development; interface and lead all Masonite functional teams through all phases of plan development, status reporting, and completion.
* Provide financial analysis and lead monthly reporting to the Management Leadership Team (MLT) on both tactical business results and strategic issues and initiatives.
* Interface regularly with CFO regarding key projects, financial results, and business insights, as well as with CEO on ad hoc analysis.
* Interface periodically with Board of Directors during AOP and long-range financial plan reviews.
* Partner with Business Unit Leaders and Corporate functional leadership (e.g.
* Operations, Sourcing & Logistics, IT, HR) to complete analysis of tactical and strategic initiatives.
* Work closely with the Treasurer and the Director of Investor Relations to develop key messages and supporting analysis for quarterly earnings releases and investor guidance.
* Financial Analysis
* Oversee preparation of management reports for monthly/quarterly financial results, variance analysis against AOP, forecast and prior year as appropriate.
* Lead capital budgeting and management, inventory, sales/ mix analysis, new products business case development, etc.
* Ensure clear linkage and reporting exists between operational metrics used in Manufacturing and Sourcing and the financial results reported for each Business Unit
* In depth analysis of global category spends to identify savings opportunities.
* Corporate finance analysis including but not limited to P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow analysis, and other ad-hoc strategic financial analysis needs.
* Provide analysis to support both short-term and long-term incentive compensation forecasting.
* People Management
* Manage a multi-level organization comprised of two distinct but related organizations (FP&A and Financial Systems Group), as well as indirect leadership over FP&A resources embedded in the business.
* Excellent leadership skillsand a demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate in a cross-functional matrix environment are crucial skills for success

What Does A Business Continuity Planning Director Do At Charter Communications

* Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
* Build budget models for expenses and capital for assigned business unit, and once reviewed load into corporate budget application.
* Develop supporting budget schedules for headcount, assigned business unit’s specific categories, and other identified categories.
* Provide ad hoc reports that are needed to review and analyze budgeted information.
* Conduct the month end close review, ensuring that accruals are accurate and complete.
* Provide input for the monthly review of expenses and capital to budget and forecast, and explain variances with operational analytics and insight to assigned business unit leadership and the finance group.
* Working with work channel leaders, compile forecast models on a quarterly basis and create reports to do a rolling forecast each month to provide financial visibility.
* Provide financial analysis specific to the needs of the assigned business unit.
* Provide business case, ROI and payback analysis (e.g., total cost of ownership, lease vs. buy).
* Provide ROI support for capital initiatives and work with accounting to ensure proper accounting treatment for capital versus expense coding of initiatives.
* Approve POs and Personnel Request Forms for new headcount and ensure they are within budget.
* Provide monthly certification to accuracy of financial reports, and respond of auditor requests on financials.
* Special Projects as needed
