Lead Business Data Analyst

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability to analyze data and recommend business specific solutions and recommendations.Create reports and presentations describing results with tables, graphs, and software tools in a manner that senior level management can understand.Document, evaluate and improve design of reports and processes to ensure that analytical tools evolve as the business changes.Develops trend analyses and other quantitative reports to determine business trends.Partners with leaders to further analyze data and develop recommendations for improvement.Understands and leads peers in the identification of key business factors (both internal and external) that impact the business.Develop recommendations and action plans to support growth and eliminate or mitigate observed risks.Business Intelligence (i.e., key performance indicators, executive dashboards, reporting).Establishes, fosters and maintains working relationships with peers and management within Bancorp, lines of business, Affiliate partners and other key stakeholders. (i.e., working with Finance and other lines of business on financial goals.) Develop analytical models to identify patterns in data.Build strong relationships with IT, Finance, HR, and internal teammates including members of the sales team.Ability to formulate data extracts into high level actionable messaging Poses high level collaborative communication skills with internal and external partners and vendors Ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables across functional LOB groups

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science preferred. Masters in Statistics or MBA preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience working with advanced data mining tools (SAS, R, SQL, Python).Minimum of 2 years of experience developing dashboards using TableauAdvanced in Microsoft Office software, including, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Proven ability to recommend solutions to optimize performance and troubleshoot errors. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and work in a fast paced environment required.Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Excellent problem solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Lead Business Data Analyst

The Finance & Analytics team at the Kansas City Regional Center is looking for a Business and Data Analyst to provide direct support and analysis to various areas of the business, specifically the Commercial Teams with additional emphasis on modal analytics.

In this role, you will need to be able to evaluate anticipated / realized success levels of various business decisions through analysis of internal data. You will help determine key performance indicators for the business and create dashboard reporting for management to monitor performance and trends. You will be expected to establish and maintain strong relationships with the leadership team, specifically within Commercial Teams, to ensure timely resolution of issues and concerns as well as to increase content knowledge in areas of evolving focus. This role requires an organized individual with strong project management disciplines that can manage their workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

This position will require you to be in the office three days a week. We will continue monitoring the circumstances and when we feel comfortable, this position will return to the Kansas City office five days a week. This will give you the opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with a talented and diverse group of peers. Responsibilities:Evaluates level of effectiveness of business decisions and current processes, specifically in the leads and small business functions of the business, through critical analysis of internal data and reporting Proposes and implements enhancements based on data findings and continues to monitor success levels to drive growth and improvements in profitability Utilizes internal reporting, database querying, and applicable tools, such as Power BI and Tableau to develop processes to track and analyze current focus areas Develops and maintains reporting models to provide executive management insight into business performance and trends Partners with internal departments to better understand drivers of trends and impact of business changes Prepares and presents to various stakeholders regularly with updates on trends that could impact the Company's growth Collaborates with leadership, develops, and maintains robust platform and lead optimization reporting and analytics Required Qualifications:Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial or business analyst capacity Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPointExperience with data visualization tools, including, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL querying Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to effectively present, influence, and consult with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels Able to make recommendations, articulate analysis and field questions and/or pushback from key internal and external stakeholders Proven success in developing and communicating business recommendations and insights in an easy-to-understand way, leveraging data to tell a story Values a diverse and exclusive work environment Embraces entrepreneurial spirit in work through recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities and challenging the status quo Logistics and supply-chain experience Experience with data/financial analysis for a sales or operations organization Familiarity with Python, R, or similar programming languages is beneficial

As a Business Analyst in the Fraud Risk Data Strategy space, you'll play a key role in supporting the many critical applications that forms the fraud data ecosystem. You will work with our fraud strategy teams to gather their data requirements for identifying fraud and collaborate with our technology partners to build and deliver them into one of the applications our product owns. You will help support the continuing evolution of our product vision and contribute to building out the backlog and Fraud Risk roadmap.
Responsibilities:


Collaborate with business and technology teams to refine and update the Fraud Risk Data Strategy backlog Gather business requirements and document them to support agile software development Create mapping documents to facilitate analysis and understanding for tech teams Create functional specification or other similar documents/artifacts to help agility teams understand what they should build to meet business needs Support Fraud Risk analytical users in consuming data from our fraud risk data pond Support all controls related activities surrounding data use, data management, and data governance Support teamwork and collaboration in an environment of continuous improvement.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 4+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or related role Strong knowledge of agile process and principles behind modern day software development Knowledge of fraud / risk experience, or equivalent operations or control experiences is a plus Knowledge of Consumer Community Bank's New Banking Architecture, concept of kafka messages, API, etc. Strong SQL query skills, adept in using query tools like Toad Data Point, SQL Developer, etc. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills Advance presentation and communication skills. Able to function successfully in a highly matrix-ed organization is a plus.
