Gather and analyze contract requirements to maximize client and operational experience. Participate in the review of request for proposals (RFPs), waivers, model contracts and amendments while working collaboratively to influence across a matrix environment. Partner with Proposals, Sales, Solutioning, and Operational leads throughout the customer’s contract life cycle to monitor and support RFP requirements. Provide requirements oversight leading up to the Opportunity Review, Solutioning Summary and Final Deal Review.

Assess, develop, and lead key team processes
Monitor and support team processes. Provide directive on projects to identify best practices and optimization to improve performance and/or create efficiencies
Facilitate group problem solving
Identify and analyze significant requirements that impact various functional partners
Maintain current business, industry and competitive knowledge and apply appropriately to requirement review efforts
Communicate final dispositions clearly, concisely and in layperson language in both oral and written form
Identify best practices and optimization to improve performance and/or create efficiencies
Provide consultative support to internal business partners to understand issues and explore alternatives
Serve as team leader and mentor

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of health care insurance industry, operations, and government programs
2+ years translating business requirements and documenting business/system processes
2+ years of intermediate experience with MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint
Ability to navigate internal functions and communicate analysis, including trends & opportunities, to executive leadership both verbally and in writing
Ability to thrive in a matrix, demanding, fast-paced, evolving environment
Ability to manage multiple projects, stay on task, maintain focus, work within tight schedules to meet multiple deadlines, produce quality work, and demonstrate professionalism

Experience working with request for proposals (RFPs) and health insurance contracts
Experience working with a contract management system
Experience in developing / leading process improvement efforts and facilitating detailed process discussions
Ability to anticipate, understand and react to market and customer needs
Ability to work well in a team environment and independently with minimum supervision
Proven interpersonal skills, including ability to effectively interact, collaborate with, and influence key stakeholders

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only:
The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
