Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture, or Sales-related field preferred. 6+ years of relevant business development experience – experience marketing educational network or in the design/construction industry with architecture, engineering, construction, economic development fields would be a plus. Knowledgeable of K-12 client network within Illinois and surrounding states. Eagerness to expand the company with new clients and sales by winning design projects. Self-motivated and self-directed. Strong written and oral communication abilities. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Collaborative and able to work with a wide spectrum of personalities. Comfortable in both leader and team-player roles. Ability to research, gather intel, analyze data, create, and execute strategic plans. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. The Business Development Leader RH Contract, Commercial East role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with key commercial design firms and dealers. Candidates with 5+ years of experience in commercial FF&E sales, with an established network of existing relationships with top industry players will be viewed most favorably.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Live Our Vision, Values and Beliefs every day Prepare and manage a targeted regional sales growth plan that leverages our core capabilities and industry insights to achieve quarterly/annual sales and margin goals. Qualify leads and pursue new business opportunities within the ecosystem of the targeted strategic customers within the territory. Influence and own the full project life-cycle for all projects tied to strategic customers, from specification to procurement, guiding customers to solutions that we can best supply to meet their specific project needs. Partner with Project, Sourcing, and Logistics Leaders to ensure projects are properly managed, including product selection, creation of quotes and invoices and order fulfillment planning. Travel to strategic customers and attend key industry events as necessary that render value and equity for RH as a luxury brand in the B2B space. Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and log all key communications and activities in the CRM system. Collaborate with North American and International Business Development and Project Leaders across all segments to help "connect the dots" and drive growth with strategic customers.


OUR REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience working on large FF&E projects within the B2B contract furniture space, with proven relationships with key senior level decision makers involved in the specification, approval, and purchasing process. Expert understanding of least two of the following product categories (outdoor, lighting, case goods, upholstery, accessories) with a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape in the FF&E space. Highly-motivated, disciplined, self-starter with strong selling and negotiating skills, comfortable conducting both in person and virtual presentations to individuals and groups. Detail and solution oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Intensely customer-focused, with the ability to quickly interpret and address customer needs. Expert in providing accurate demand and shipped sales forecasts for project based business. Comprehensive understanding of CRM/Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint. At least 40%+ travel to meet strategic customers when needed.
